Updated Introduction

in #introduceyourself6 years ago (edited)

I am 26 years old and American. I am interested in technology and economics (you can see where this is going). Almost all of my waking hours are spent studying how humans allocate scarce resources (including time, the scarcest resource). I spent the last three years at Michigan Law School and will be joining a law firm in New York City in October. In my time as a law student I worked in the Entrepreneurship Clinic helping people launch companies and hopefully dreams. I am fascinated by people who create valuable enterprises.

Despite my first Bitcoin wallet that I set up when I was 21, I did not become passionate about blockchain technology and cryptographic assets until the summer of 2017. I discovered Steemit and learned about Dan Larimer’s other project Bitshares. In July, the SEC released its ruling on The DAO (an Ethereum based public venture capital pool). I can point to that moment as the intersection between my nascent professional life (practicing law) and my personal interests (economics and technology). Since then I have been all-in on learning about this empowering technology.

This is a photo of me (right) with Ivan Liljeqvist a software developer and prominent Youtube media personality. I recommend catching his streams and recordings here - https://www.youtube.com/user/LiljeqvistIvan. He does a great job of framing newsworthy events from a technical perspective.

I believe Graphene-based protocols can deliver global prosperity. I believe the next step in human evolution will come from bottom-up movements rather than top-down hierarchies. Let’s make the future brighter together.

Welcome to the community... great post... keep steeming...

I'm from Oregon, was in New York, and I love watching the Suits show. I sometimes write & talk like a lawyer like @Cernovich. Nice to meet you. I'm Oatmeal.

It is interesting that when people see someone introducing themselves to a community, they think that this person is new to the community. That is not your case, but it is good to know you a little better, my friend.

Nice to your passion and personal commitment to the blockchain movement. It didn't take much for me because I was already in the tech sector. All the guys who are working day jobs in different industries and managing this as part time/full time have my respect.
Hats off to you as well :-)
