#LivingElSalvador. Giving the Soldiers Ride on the Back of Truck While Enjoying the Beautiful Drive.

in #dtube5 years ago (edited)

While driving to the beach, we got stopped by the soldiers since they needed a ride. This is just a normal thing here in El Salvador. Most of the time the soldiers have to catch their own ride where ever they are going.

This was actually our first time being stopped by the soldiers and giving them a lift. Sometimes you can also get stopped by the police for a ride also.
The good thing is that they only go on the back of the truck and never inside.

This is also a daily thing for giving any people a ride on the back of the truck. The people just jump on the back of the truck and let you know where to drop them off by tapping on the roof of the truck.

Anyway. I was just recording our drive, because I always like to do that, since the drive (no matter where you go) is just so beautiful and always so different because of the different seasons (dry season, wet season which is so green, and then you get all these different kinds of trees blooming in all different seasons and the same with the fruit trees).
So the soldiers were just a bonus and first for us.

Hope you enjoyed the drive and wish you all a wonderful weekend.
Love @joalvarez.

I am a great supporter of @familyprotection who is working very hard to help the families stay together and this project is the most amazing project that I would suggest for everyone on this steemit community to check it out and support it and by doing it we are helping people in need who are trying to keep their kids safe from being taken away (kidnapped) by the Social Services. I am also a part of one of the most amazing projects here on steemit and that is @gratefulvibes project where you can also join @gratefulvibes Discord chat group, where we support the newcomers and just have an amazing time.

Thank you for visiting my post. If you like it, please don't forget to Upvote, Follow, and Resteem, it is very, very appreciated. Any suggestions are always very welcome so that I can keep improving in this community.
God Bless!

Wow, I don't like the idea of having heavy weapons loaded on my vehicle, but if it is that normal you should just get use to it... I guess 😂

Yes. I know how you feel.
I don't feel comfortable around any weapons, especially loaded ones around me and I don't think I ever will

Well, you already have a nice history to tale your grand children some day 🙂
The world is a huge place full of incredible adventures that often surpasses what imagination can conceive.

Best regards.

For many this would seem quite bizarre and scary but I have seen the same happen in a few other countries I have been to, its not somehting ne wants to experience a lot and is normally a sad sign of the financial state of the country that the police and army have to hitch rides like this

I agree with you @tattoodjay. This definitely would be scary if you have not seen that before, like it was to us when we first got to see it, but slowly we get used to it, but the loaded weapons is not something I would get comfortable to be around or used to it.
Most policemen have their own rides, but as for the soldiers, they usually got to get their own ride, unless there are a lot of them.

I remember the first time I saw police or military walking the street with loaded weapons it was such a shock to me, sadly with my travels I saw it far to often and worse, but I still dream of the day peace becomes the norm around the world and it will be a sight seldom seen anywhere

There is so much trees in that place where you live @joalvarez and they are almost overhanging on the road. That is a good source of oxygen too :)

Yes. That is why the roads and streets look so beautiful.
The city has the workers cleaning/chopping/trimming all the grass and trees and bushes so that it does not overhang on the roads and then it looks even more gorgeous and green and like you said it is great source of toxygen.
