I love driving through Keremeos and when we do, we always try to stop by our favorite place which is the famous red bridge of Keremeos, where we used to go few times during summer for some river tubbing.
I have always loved the look of this one-way bridge, I guess mostly because it is red which really stands out from far away and just the old design is so cool.
The bridge itself is beautiful and unique, but underneath the bridge is where a lot of people come and enjoy the little beach and it is also very famous for tubbing down the Ashnola river, where we always enjoyed our picnic BBQing and swimming and tubbing when we lived in Penticton.
So coming back from Kelowna in August when we went visit my parents, we wanted to drive through Keremeos, which takes an extra hour of drive instead of through Coquihalla highway, but we just wanted to enjoy the ride and visit one of our favorite spots and fruit markets of the Okanagan.
