CABINET MAKER X #13 Mahogany Wardrobe Alterations Part 4

Welcome to part 4 DTube
It is Friday and it is the thirteenth episode of Cabinet Maker X
For anyone with Triskaidekaphobia (the fear of the number 13) I apologise.
Now that the main part of the wardrobe is modified and assembled I need to adjust the plinth.
The plinth is made up from a frame work with moulding attached to three of the sides.
As with every process in this job I have one chance to get things right and a mistake would be very problematic.
Therefore I double check every calculation and carefully mark out the new cut lines.
I first cut the new mitre and then remove the unwanted section. This was a bit tricky as there were hidden nails in there but I worked around it.
Then I cut the back rails which was relatively easy.
Once that was done I fine tuned the mitres with my belt sander. I like to use the belt sander for things like this sometimes.
Then I glue and panel pin one side first , re measure and do the same on the other side .
When it is all glued up I can touch up the joints and put the wardrobe on top of it.
It went together very well but was a bit nerve racking!
In the next episode I will be reducing the doors.
I am constantly trying to improve my posts, videos and presentation.
I would welcome any feed back on any of my content.

Onwards and upwards,
I wish I was talented with woodworking. I lack the patience and attentions to detail.
It is all down to practice really. Thanks for checking it out.
