How to become a succesful leader
Make quick and convinced decisions
Apparently, good CEO's are not good because their decisions are mostly right… but because they are very decisive and confident. People experience consistent leaders as good leaders.
So if you ever want to become a CEO, keep in mind that it is better to make a fast decision that is wrong than no decisios at all.
Let other people be involved in your decision
A good CEO encourages support and cooperation among collegues by creating trusty relations. Collegues will realise that their CEO is guiding them to succes even when a certain decision conflicts with their own thoughts. Good leaders ask for input from their co-workers.
Adapt proactively
As Darwins law declares, the organism that adapts itself the easiest will survive. That also counts for leaders. A million times they face unexpected situations. If you can manage to handle them correctly and consistently, people will respect you a lot.
Generate trust.
Everybody likes people they can trust and that are predictable. For new CEO's it is important to not want too much from the beginning. Start with annalyzing the current situation, have a lot of meetings and check the expectations of everyone. People will trust you more and will accept your decisions much easier.
