Halloween at the bachelor house.

Well it's that time of year again. October 31st. Halloween.

A time of year that I used to absolutely love when I was a kid.

When I got a little bit older I liked it because I was able to go to haunted houses and things like that but now I've outgrown those things as well.

Unfortunately things haven't exactly worked out financially the way that I wanted them to yet so I'm still living in a house with two other guys.

What does Halloween mean for us?

Well we are three guys that are basically barely getting by living in this house that we can barely afford so that does not leave a lot of room for us to be going out and buying big packages expensive Halloween candy. Yes it's gotten a lot more expensive over the years.

Therefore, we don't have much recourse except to simply turn off the light. There are barely any kids on this street anyway.

To tell you the truth, it's a little bit depressing.... but I guess Halloween will be back next year and I hope I'm in a better situation then.... maybe living in my own house with a big bucket of candy to be able to pass out to the kids with a smile.

Happy Halloween.

Sorry you couldn't spend Halloween in a way that made you happy and I hope by next year things will be different for you in the way you hope for.

The last neighborhood I lived in was sometimes a little dicey after dark, so as a single woman, I would give out candy to the few groups of children that came right before it was totally dark and then I turned things down. Being single and female, I just didn't think it was safe to open my door to strangers after it got dark and things grew quiet. It saddens me that times have come to that, but better safe than sorry at this point.

Now I live on the edge of a rural neighborhood where the houses are not that close together, so there are no Trick or Treaters here. I did use to enjoy all the hubbub around the Halloween evenings remembering back to when I was a child and those type worries were just not a big concern.

Happy Halloween

Heyyyy! This means you should have gone out trick or treating! You never know what the neighbors are giving out!

Sincerely hope next year brings you better luck.

Tip!

Much appreciated.

The pleasure is mine!

Sorry Halloween wasn't great. I remember having similar times not too long ago. Technically now I own my own house but it's so far away from civilization no kids will come here. I think trunk or treats ruined things here. All the kids go to church trunk or treats instead of the old fashioned practice of going around neighborhoods. It's a shame really. We traveled to my mother's to trick or treat there and barely any houses had their lights on. I hope someday Halloween can make a comeback. And maybe next year you'll have your dream home! Fingers crossed!
