My idea for Betting Bot

Hello everybody,
I have some ideas for Bytebetting Betting Bot.

Prolog:
As we know, you can bet with the Betting Bot on different sports. For example: football, baseball, basketball, rugby and so on.

problems:

  1. I find only these sports too little. There are many sports where you can bet. For example: tennis, ice hockey, handball ...
  2. If you bet on football, you can not bet on all the football leagues. There are various football tournaments: Europa League, Uefa Nations League, Süper Lig (Turkey), Premier League (Russia), Primeira Liga (Portugal), Premier League (Ukraine) ...
  3. In football you can only write victory, draw and defeat. It would be good if there were more options. Like: more or less goals. Write victory and draw at the same time.

It would be helpful to win even more MB ;-)
I hope the idea will please several and the developer of the Betting Bot will consider the idea :-)

    Hi,

    I'm the dev of this bot. You're not the only one asking for this.

    • Expanding to other sports or leagues: yes it would be great but it's not that easy. Firstly, we need to find free and reliable source of data. Secondly, it adds more potential issues, that could need a fix or be exploited. It's a hobbyist project, the (small fees) cover barely the hosting cost, and I cannot dedicate to it all the time I would like. It should eventually happens though.
    • Expand to other kinds of bets: I don't believe this chatbot has the right interface for that. It has to stay the simplest possible to not look overloaded. Also since it's a P2P market, if we offer too many betting options, the makers would have too much work for setting their offers. At this current level of activity, we cannot afford to dilute the liquidity.

    could you publish the source code?
    maybe other coder can create this leagues and the network grow ;-)

    The betting-bot is fed from sports-oracle, you can contribute to it:
    https://github.com/byteball/sports-oracle
    If you add a sport/league to sports-oracle, it will be available on betting-bot.

        There is already NHL, but bet makers add odds for baseball, MMA and ice hockey just day or 2 before the event to minimize risk. But you can become a bet maker too and add odds earlier if you want. Also, by doing that, you add more liquidity to the bets, which is very welcome.

        Some sports are not available all the time because there could be off-season right now or no suitable API resource, for example MLB.
