Drawing of Cesar
César is a fictitious character in the series of films of The Planet of the Apes, beginning his appearance in the third film Flight from the Planet of the Apes. It is the leader and main instigator of the revolution of the apes in the fourth film Conquest of the Planet of the Apes and the governor of Ape City (City of the Apes) in the fifth and last film Battle for the Planet of the Apes. He was portrayed in both films by actor Roddy McDowall, who also played his father Cornelius in Planet of the Apes and Flight from the Planet of the Apes.
