At the Serendipity night club: Hoi An

On Sunday and Wednesday nights here in Hoi An Vietnam, they have a rave at the Serendipity backpacker suite. The doors open at 11 pm and they party till 4 am-ish. I was given the assignment to go and take photos at this night club for an article on the nightlife here.

General thoughts...

This night club was made for westerns I belive. well sorta know for a fact that it was. HAHAHA. The whole experience was based around drinking and doing balloons willed nitrous.

When the doors open, they pour a shoot in your mouth and send you up some stairs. The room up top is sorta like a pen to keep kids in. All the sharp objects covered, 2 bars for getting drinks and balloons, music, darkness, and a palace for tattoos.

While the music was nice, the overabundance of people sucking down nitrous was a bit off-putting. These kids walking about with a giant condom looking thing sticking out of the mouth, sucking down nitrous that causes you to think you are drowning, sorta killed my vibe. Perhaps I am too old as back in the day, I think I would have rocked it too! But now, it's like.. hmm.. that's not that cool, it looks stupid... but hey... idk. Dam, I am too old now... when you say that looks stupid and everyone else is like WOOT, hmm. or perhaps just more mature?

Not to rant too much about the NItrous trend here... I will just move along.

• This is downstairs before you head up. I found this location to be chill and I liked it.

• The Glowing ascent into the pit of nitrous balloons.

• Here we see the dj crushing it with some mellow techno house beats.

• In the back room was a tattoo person. The sing said "Tattoo, sorry mom". The lady doing it was happy to talk and tell me about the bad tattoos people got. I had to wonder about the sanitary level of this operation... Hahhaha.

• Disco party good times as well.
