Viva Improv! The following is the official announcement by The Improv Shop for my upcoming Comedia del Improv class. I am humbled, delighted, and looking forward to this opportunity to bring a little comedia to town and the local improv community. I want to thank Andy Sloey, Kevin McKernan, and the entire Improv Shop office for doing all the hard to make this happen.

Comedia Del Improv is an intensive introduction designed to empower improvisers and actors with the 400 year old tradition of comedia del arte. This two part workshop will introduce players to historic movement, emotion, and characters techniques to enhance your contemporary improv.

Students will be introduced to the playing style popular during the Renaissance and Elizabethan age which brought to life some of the most iconic stories of the stage. This workshop is for students who want to expand their skills in physicality, character work, emotional states, genre, and group mind. This workshop will meet twice in January for three hours. Both classes will be guided by Jake Schneider and a fellow member of The Improv Shop faculty.
