“We’re all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness–and call it love–true love.”
– Robert Fulghum, True Love

Hi I’m Rhey. I am from the Philippines. I am married with three kids. I am a junior high teacher by profession. My wife's name is Irene. That is why I named my account as @irhey, more like a combination of our names. My wife and I are working in the same school. She is teaching Filipino while I’m teaching History class. Her classroom at that time was just beside mine. So it’s not really that hard to reach out to her and have some chitchats during our vacant time. That’s where I met her and I guess that was how our love story begun.

This is me and my wife way back in 2014. She is my girlfriend for 5 years before we got married in 2015.

Before we got married both of us decided to have a pre-nuptial pictorials so we contacted our wedding coordinator so that we could arrange a schedule for the said pictorials with the photographer.

Here are some of our pre-nuptial pictures taken in 2015 in Ayala Heights transcenral highway, Cebu, Philippines.

Barely two months after our prenuptial pictorials our wedding followed which was held in the Shrine of St. Joseph Church, Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines. Relatives and close friends of our respective families were there to witness the ceremony.

Our officiating priests. The two priests, both at our sides, are my close friends from the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart while the other one, a diocesan priest, is a family friend from my wife’s side.

These are our post nuptial pictorials taken after our wedding ceremony and before the reception in Cebu City Sports Club, Philippines.

My wife’s immediate family. Her parents and sister doing the wacky pose. This picture was taken in the hotel a few hours before our wedding ceremony.

My father died in September of 2009. He really would have wanted me to get married before he died so that he could play with his grandchildren in his old age. And so in this picture this is only me, my mother together with my two sisters. My uncle stood as my father during the wedding ceremony (though he is not in this picture).

This is a picture of my wife weeks before her delivery. I was so excited of having our first baby that I wanted to document everything. And these are two of the pictures I took before she gave birth to our first child.

This is my wife holding a pair of shoes. This is our way of offering and welcoming our child into this world. Both of us were so excited of having our first child that we decided to give him a gift and letting him feel inside her womb of how much we love him.

By the time our first child was born you can just imagine how I feel being a father. I was already 42 years old then and my wife is 15 years younger than me. My age gap to my wife makes me worried especially on its effect to the child. After my wife gave birth the nurse showed me the baby and looking at our first child for the first time was a big relief on my part. Since that day on I became a father my life has changed I am much happier and complete than I was ever be.

This is me holding our first child.

And of course, my wife holding our first child.

And here they are now still cuddling each other. This picture was taken during our yearly fiesta last 17th of February of this year. Our eldest child Clarence Alec is just only 2 years and 7 months old while our second child Seth Liam is just 1 year and 5 months old. At the time that they were wearing this shirt I called them “The Ferrari Brothers”.

Finally, this is a picture of my family, my wife and our two kids. This was taken in a studio in 2017. Our third child was not here in this family picture since he just born only last February of this year.
