I Made it to a 70 Reputation

For whatever reason when I first joined Steemit I thought getting to a 70 reputation was one of my biggest goals. It seemed like all the big players were at that mark or higher. At the time, I did not know about vote bots, and all the other intricacies of Steemit. I have certainly learned a lot over the last 11 months or so I have been a member.

Was it as exciting as I thought it would be getting to a 70?

No, it is cool, but it is not the super awesome achievement I thought it would be. I think I thought that the big accounts with a 70 rep were making huge money with Steem. However, I did not know that a lot of that huge money was from votes that were bought and they were not making that much money.

I have learned a lot about Steem and yes I use vote bots now as well. I have learned to use Steemit in other way besides to make money. I have a substantial blog and Steemit is an amazing source for getting high quality links back to that blog. From what I understand, your posts must have a certain amount of value in votes to be ranked for SEO. That is one reason I use the vote bots. I think the vote bots also get my articles shown to more people and increases my audience.

I do not use Steemit to make money as I thought I would when I first joined, which is good because the price of Steem sure put a stop to that! I have made friends here, found a new way to promote my writing, videos, and other content, and found a way to help my business with a cool site.

I am glad I chose this place to invest some money in last year when the crypto craze hit and everyone knew the money would just keep flowing. I wanted to invest in something that I had control in and understood. With Steemit you can make money in so many ways, and the website has some serious content and clout.

It is cool to see my account slowly increasing in value, my followers slowly increase, and my vote value go up.
