Almost Sharp - Peoplephotography by worldcapture Week #31

This talented girl is ready to pull out her sword! So a perfect pose for that. But as we know, this is tennis and the photographer is a twat. :)
@trincowski made me do this. Thanks! :) The first photo in this post is the one that I want to participate with to this competition: https://steempeak.com/steempress/@worldcapture/newpeoplephotographybyworldcaptureweek31-10steembonusprizepool-f0jkgscmsv

There are some photos that look awesome as they are. Blurry. But not this one. Should have been sharp.
Go and check out the posts that are already submitted. There are some awesome photos there. :)
First of all couple of confessions. These photos are not recent. These are actually from last year. But I've never published them. So if this disqualifies me from the contest, I totally understand.
Second of all, I think these are not that good photos. Weird positions, unsharp, horrible colors. I was practicing sports photography in the worst conditions for a beginner. Bright sunlight with dark background in some photos. My reaction time for the first five minutes was really slow, but I got there eventually. Made me wish for a new camera and a new lens so that I could get closer, but then again there's not much you can do with better equipment when the conditions are like they were and the photographer is practically a twat with a fine camera. :D
But now that I've given you explanations, I will stop my whining and I'll do what I believe every photographer or wannabe photographer should do occasionally. Post not so perfect photos. (Continue posting I mean.) Post those photos that aren't that great and normally wouldn't pas the selection and make it to be published.
Why? Because the world isn't perfect. Because before every awesome and perfect photo, there's tons of hard work, trial and error. Years of rehearsing before you can call yourself a professional. Or hundreds or bad photos before that one lucky shot. And in every shot, there's also something to be learned.

Would it be okay to ask the player to use his left hand so that the sunlight would light his face better? Awesome pose though.

Atleast we can see the ball as the background is dark.

Of course this works too. Thanks dude! Better, but again, blurry. Not that much but I know it is.

You know what the main focus on this photo should have been? The shadow. If only the whole shadow would have been there, and the ball, as it's so close to the shadow, this would have been better. But now, too much space for the head and not enough for the shadow. If the shadow would have fitted to the photo, the blurry face would have also been just fine.

Can't stop watching at his left hand.

can't. stop. watching. at. his. left. hand.
Edited with photoshop. Few I cropped a bit, made slight corrections to the histogram and colors, tried to salvage some of the overexposed spots and slightly do something about the totally black shadows. The thought that these could be good in black and white crossed my mind, but then again, why bother. If the photo isn't that good to begin with, there's not much you can do to it.
But then I caved and tried it with two photos that I selected from this batch. The best of the worst.

He has only one leg.
No. I think in this case the color version works better.

I promised @penderis to do a weekly thing, a Friday frant, but as every time when I should do something, I find myself incapable of doing that, for reasons unknown (my brain), and end up doing something completely different.

But you there who managed to read this far, you do a Friday #frant! And I'll be ngnh... ngnh... monitoring the tag the best way I know: occasional presence and asking: "What more do you want from me!?!"

Cool shots. I like Tennis, it's a lot cleaner and less controversial than Football. I lost my patience with those guys and their never ending debates about penalties and referees. It gets boring, after a while!
There can be quite characters in tennis too.
