We Are One | Freewrite using picture prompt
Elsa and Anna were the most beautiful twins in the clan. Well, actually they were the first twins in the generation. Both had sharp distinctive features - eyes, nose, lips, ears and cheek bones. They looked similar except their hair colour - Elsa had medium blonde and Anna had copper dark brown.
Everything was perfect until when Anna started to keep falling over stuff when she walked. Something was not right and it prompted their parents to see the pediatrician. Tests were carried out and it turned out she had some rare genetic disease which caused her sight to degrade as she aged. But her eyes' degradation was faster than expected.
Soon at 7 months young, she was 80% blind. However, blindness did not rob away her joy. She was still as bubbly and jovial as ever.
Both Elsa and Anna had resilience just like their parents. Their trust in God kept them going happy and peaceful, knowing life was still good. The sisters also loved each other very much. They were so closely knitted together sometimes they understood each other without uttering a single word.
Else knew deep inside Anna, beyond all her laughter and smile, she longed for eye-sight. She longed to see the world. She yearned to have a view of how they look like - as almost everyday people praised their beauty and charm.
They were 10 years old now. Both were smart and brilliant at school, Elsa was good at dance, Anna, good in art.
One day, while at dance class, Elsa dropped to the floor, complaining pain at her abdomen area, the back part. She was diagnosed with some rare kidney failure, attacked by some virus and she needed to have a surgery and a donor to give her one kidney. No doubt, Anna met all the criteria to be her donor.
Surgery was a successful one. Elsa woke up feeling tired but less pain and able to urinate smoothly. Anna woke up screaming. Not because of pain, but she could see the world.
Before the surgery, Elsa told her parents that since sister would be giving her one of her kidney, she wanted to give Anna one of her cornea.
Both lost one part of their organ and both also gained a new organ.
Occasionally, they still missed their good old days where Elsa would hold Anna's hand while they walked among the summer grass.
THE END
I was not satisfied with my freewrite today as I was looking forward to meet my parents soon. So I was not in the usual kind of brain while typing the above story. I was like quick-get-it-done-mode. Hope it is still OK with my readers. 😜

I think this is a beautiful story, although it is hard to believe a 7 month or 2 year old put it's faith in god.
