For me, the New Year is the most wonderful of holidays. After all, it looks like a fairy tale. After all, we really want to bring small miracles into our boring monotonous life and turn gray everyday life into pearl-bright holidays. This is exactly what happens on New Year's Eve and New Year's Eve. Everything is changing, everything flashes, sparkles and shimmers.

The main decoration of Christmas is the Christmas tree. The tradition of decorating the Christmas tree has its roots in the Christmas period. According to the Bible, Mary, the mother of Jesus, the Son of God, gave birth to a child in a stable. Upon learning about this, the Magi hurried to worship the Savior, who appeared in the sinful world, but the star of Bethlehem illuminated their path. Illuminated by the star of Bethlehem, angels descend and decorate the palm trees, illuminating the barn. Since then, decorating the Christmas tree has become a tradition.

Later, the fir tree became a symbol of the New Year. All over the world, spruce is a symbol of immortality, health and longevity. It is also a symbol of the connection between death and the afterlife. The spruce became a sacred tree after one of the Christian preachers proved to the pagans that the oak is not a sacred plant. He cut down a large oak tree and broke all the trees along the way, except for a fir tree. Since then, Christmas trees in Europe have been decorated in honor of Christmas: An eight-pointed star symbolizing the Star of Bethlehem is hung on the top, and candles, lanterns and various sweets are hung on the tree.

In Russia, the tradition of decorating fir trees originated after Peter the Great, who "opened a window to Europe," for the first time ordered the decoration of coniferous trees on New Year's Eve. Over time, Christians also fell in love with the tradition of decorating a fir tree on New Year's Eve, and it became a tradition. Today, few people stay away from the New Year celebrations, and it is impossible to celebrate the New Year without feeling the smell of pine needles or seeing the tree itself. Christmas tree garlands sparkle from every window, and Christmas trees are decorated for all ages and genders. The city center is decorated with tall fir trees, and many people come to admire them, take pictures and make wishes.

I decorate my Christmas tree at home every year, but since it is artificial, it is very convenient, because if you buy it, it will stand forever, and you can keep it until April. As for the smell, I buy scented candles that smell of pine needles. Hide the gifts under the tree. After the twelfth stroke of the chimes, we open the gifts and congratulate each other on the holiday. Hurray!
