Meet me again @hidayat96 and on this occasion tonight I am here to take part in a contest organized by @siz-official with the theme: "Tell Us About Your Favorite Mobile App". Before continuing with the discussion of my post, I want to thank @siz-official for making a very good contest theme. I also invited 3 of my best friends, namely @lingkar-photo @muhammadalzikra and @maulidar so they can take the opportunity to take part in the contest in the Steem Infinity Zone community.

Alright friends, below I will discuss my favorite mobile application, namely "Snapseed". Please friends see the explanation below.

Snapseed is one of the best editor applications for me right now and is widely used by Instagrammers. This application for mobile phones does make it easier for us to do photo editing. Because this application has many and complete photo editing tools. Frankly, sometimes it makes us confused. There are ready-made effects, but there are also manual ones (we can set them ourselves). What I use here are the basic photo editing features. No fancy filters. The goal is quite simple, namely to make photos more pleasing to the eye. At least, I'm not ashamed to post to Instagram.

Well, the cool thing about the photo editing tool on Snapseed is that the changes are present smoothly. Of course this makes the photo still look natural, not too visible digital effects.

So what Snapseed photo editing tools are the most fun for me to use? Please friends see below.

1. Tune Image

Tune Image contains tools for adjusting the basic exposure in a photo. Starting from brightness, saturation, to warmth. If you want your photos to be better, especially if the filters or automatic settings are less fun, Tune Image you should try.

For example, as a tropical country, outdoor photos in Indonesia tend to have high contrast. One way to reduce it is to adjust the highlights and shadows in Tune Image.

2. Crop

You all must have known the crop function. With this tool we can crop the photo area according to our wishes. Can be with a certain ratio (square, 3:2, 4:3 and others) or freely.

Crop also carries other functions that we are rarely aware of. While cutting the photo area, we can also adjust the composition of the photo. For example, placing the object according to the guide line. In addition, we can also put the object to be "bigger". It's better to use a crop than to shoot with digital zoom.

3. Details

Details is an interesting photo editing tool. With Details, we can highlight the shape of objects better. I like this tool because it can sharpen photos more smoothly than the HDR effect (sometimes too much). Although different, you can get an effect similar to the photos by Dave Hill.

There are two options there. But what can be used is structure. Although sharpening is also useful, I don't use it very often.

4. Tonal Contrast

Tonal Contrast provides further contrast to highlights (high light) and shadows. With this tool you can show the shape and details of objects even further.

What friends need to practice when using this tool is to distinguish bright light (highlight), middle, and shadow. Also pay attention to details that may be lost when setting it up. For this use Protect Shadow/Highlight.

5. Vignette

This tool will give a transparent light dark gradation from the edges of the photo to the center. This tool is very useful for providing dramatic effects. The fun thing is, in Snapseed we can adjust the location of the midpoint of the vignette and the level of light and dark.

6. Portrait

Portrait is a filter that will make the face lighter. This tool will recognize the face in the photo, then increase the brightness, while slightly darkening other areas. This is very useful for giving focus to our face. Of course we can arrange the elements. There is Face Spotlight to make the face bright, skin smoothing to soften the skin and eye clarity to clear the eyes (who knows red eyes from staying up late).

Those are my favorite apps and photo editing tools on Snapseed that I think are the most useful. By mastering these tools, you can also learn more about how composition, lighting, color, and detail work in photography.

One thing I need to remind. Don't overdo the effect. Keep the photo so it looks natural. If it looks too "digitally edited", the photo can lose its appeal. Unless you really aim at "graphic design" such as making promotions on Instagram and so on.
