SIZ Approved Courses | 04 week course on Windows | Lecture 02 | "How to Backup Windows 10 System" - by @hidayat96
Hello Steemians. Hello friends of Steem Infinity Zone...
Meet me again @hidayat96 and on this occasion I will post my SIZ Lecture 2 Approved Course which is about: "How to Backup Windows 10 System".
My respects to the Steem Infinity Zone community admin @cryptokraze and to the moderators @siz-official @suboohi @vvarishayy and @faran-nabeel.
Previously I had made my course, 01 lecture entitled 5 Things About Windows System Restore That We Should Know and tonight I'm going to make my Lecture 02 course entitled "How to Backup Windows 10 System".
Doing backups on the main system that we use is indeed an optimal thing, but for some people who use the system for work, of course having a backup system is a must to avoid things that are not desirable.
Well, on linux we can use an application like Timeshift. In Windows itself, we can actually use a number of Backup applications such as Minitool Shadow Maker and the like. But do you know that since the Windows 7 version, we can use the default Backup application from Windows, and in my experience this application is quite okay to use. In this regard, on this occasion I will try to summarize the short steps to do a Windows 10 System Backup.
The following are the steps:
Step 1: Please go to Settings > Update & Security > Backup > Go Backup and Restore (Windows 7).
Next, please click on Set Up backup.
Step 2. Please select the storage media where your backup will be saved.
Please adjust it according to your friends' choices. If you are using External HDD storage media and others, then please proceed to step 3.
So here I will choose "Save on a network" to add a Directory that I will make a place to save the Backup file.
Because I will save it to the Home Server, we must first determine the directory where the backup file will be stored, besides that we also have to enter the username and password from our server. When finished, click OK. Then the result will be like in the image below.
Step 3: Next, if you have specified the storage media, be it Ext Drive, Network, and others, then please select it and click Next.
Step 4: Next select the Backup Method that we will use.
Here there are two options, namely Let Windows choose (Recommended) or Let me choose. Here I will use the Let me choose option, because I only want to back up the Windows system, not including files stored in the user folder.
Next, please select the Drive where the Windows System is located, which is C. Also, make sure that Include a system image of drivers: EFI System Partition has been checked in the list. Exactly as in the image below.
Then click Next, and please adjust the backup schedule that you may need. Here I set it to On Demand because I will do the backup manually and not automatically done by the system.
Step 5: If everything is ready, please click Save settings and run backup to start Windows 10 system backup.
Then the backup process will run, and this process will take some time depending on the storage media you are using.
How are friends from my tutorial, easy isn't it?
In my opinion, compared to Backup with File History, this classic backup option is more powerful and very suitable to use. If maybe you have other options, please comment below, guys, and if there is an application like Timeshift on Windows, please let me know okay.
That's the post my short Lecture 02 about How to Backup Windows 10 System. Hopefully this post can be useful for all of us. Thank you also for those of you who have taken the time to read my post.
