They Are Selling Our House.

Last Saturday the Land Lady's son came through with a realtor to take pictures and measurements of our home. I had known there was a possibility for this, as the realtor had already been through once before to assess the place.

We (my children, dogs and I) spent seven months homeless last year, starting at the end of August. The PTSD and trauma caused by #ourhomelessexperience is deep and intense and physically painful at times, when the anxiety attacks hit full force. Muscle contorting hyperventilating panic attacks that hurt for days after.

I talked about this pretty extensively in a previous post when I first found out they were thinking about selling.

They came through, no big deal. We had to postpone our plans to go to the Hot Air Balloon Festival that day so Hiro would not be forced to be crated all day.

It ended up being too windy for Air Balloons anyway, but it was a good time for kites!

Let me tell you, friends, have never laughed as hard or been more exasperated in your life as when you are trying to help three young kids fly kites at the same time. Haha!

We also saw some sailboats racing! Made me think of you, @tobixen, the angles of the boats, thought for sure they were going to tip over as they whipped around that bouey!

It was a great weekend, everyone had a wonderful time, though toward the end my super mommy prediction skills led to an "I told you so!" Moment. Little Willow was too cold in her chosen outfit. Lol

No worries though, we had a big pot of Vegan Chili in the slow cooker, waiting for us at home. Yum!

I wasn't really given any heads up on what to expect. How long was this process going to take? When would the house be listed?

On Monday I went to an open-interview meet-and-great at Aldi. They are offering a starting pay of $13.10 an hour. I've hit the pay ceiling where I am now and my hours have been cut back to about 32-34 a week.

While I was waiting, this exchange happened.

The house had been listed for 19 hours and already had 3 showings booked. They have it listed at $119,900. I pay $800 a month. Dude downstairs does, too. Our new landlords will not even need to pay the mortgage out of their own pockets.

The two on Tuesday happened while I was at work. Not a huge big deal. The dogs will have to be locked up all day, which is sad for them, but they will survive.

I keep the house pretty clean anyway, but I shined it up for strangers to make it perfect.

On Tuesday the two groups came through. My kids got home from school and you will NEVER guess what they found.

Apparently Inari had taken a quick drink as we'd scooted out the door that morning. He'd set his mug on the stove and scampered.

When they got home, someone had turned the burner on AND LEFT IT ON!!!

This is a gas stove! How is anyone so disgustingly uncaring of other people?! They were in my home and they just left a fucking fire burning in my kitchen?!

1st off what kind of idiot turns a burner on with a ceramic mug sitting on it?!

2nd, who LEAVES THE FIRE BURNING?!

Inari turned the stove off, but, being a 9-year-old, he grabbed his special mug, burning his thumb! He is blistered and the mug shattered. These inconiderate idiots could have burned our home down, killed our pets, and my boy's burns could have been much worse.

Absolutely livid, I called my Land Lord. He said he would contact his realtor who would contact the realtors who'd been in the house.

I have yet to hear anything back about it. But...

The first showing for Wednesday was scheduled at 4:30. A time typically engulfed in chaos. I am Just getting home with the kids at that time. The dogs are going outside, the kids are clamoring to tell me about their day.

The second showing on Wednesday is at 5:00. The third at 6:00. Because of-fucking-course.

So I set up a veggie soup in the slow cooker, left work early so I could be home by 4 and let the dogs out.

The 4:30 people never showed up. Rude. The 5:00 people were loud and incredibly obtrusive, though we stayed tucked in the living room. They actually stood in the livingroom and watched several minutes of How to Train Your Dragon with my kids.

Um... we are not your scheduled entertainment for the day. See what you came to see and get out!!

The 6:00 people were the worst. I had Hiro and Ella in their crate. The 5:00 people and all their noise annoyed the hell out of Hiro, so I thought it best to have them "put away".

Two women came in. They did not have a realtor with them. Just two randoms in my house. One of them tried to touch my dogs through the crate. My snarling, barking, obviously angry dogs.

She almost got herself bitten, riled up my dogs and royally pissed me off. She then proceeded to chase the cat into hiding under the bed. Yup. A grown ass woman, chasing a strangers cat in the strangers home through three rooms.

They walked around, made a bunch of comments and walked out.

My nerves are fucking shot. Luckily we had Thursday off from showings. But the Friday showing was during the day, again. So I left a note in front of the dogs, once again locked up in the crate.

I got home and... Every light in the house was left on. Can we get some common fucking courtesy please?!

I'm so frustrated and cranky at this point. Next showing I will have a note on the stove. A note on the door demanding they turn the lights back off and the same note in front of my dogs.
