Time to celebrate my first year on Steemit! Here is my story…

Hi everybody welcome to my first birthday on Steemit! I thought about on how to celebrate for a long time and decided to create seven posts, one post every day in the week I was born here on Steemit.
First of all I want to say thanks to all my followers because in the end that’s what it’s all about! I interacted with so many great people and I was able to read so many nice blogs created by great people on the platform! So please everybody keep sharing!

Second Year
There is so much I still want see happen on Steemit and I want to achieve as well. To me Steemit is a great escape from the 9-5 grind I am still in. For over a year now I am looking into what will be next for me adventure/travel wise. I am saving money and am doing a TEFL course right now. I love Amsterdam and have a very good live here but I just feel I miss out on the World again. Amsterdam is safe and I am very confrontable there, but I just miss living somewhere else again, a place where I can meet many like-minded people and learn more about myself. When I started on Steemit one year ago I had the hope it would generate some income in order for me to travel more, that is not happening mostly because I don’t have enough time to really connect with many people on the platform, in my eyes Steemit is not only about blogging but even more about really connecting with people.
As mentioned Steemit feels like a great escape from my work grind, mostly because I found so many nice people with great account that I really enjoy reading. My second year will be more posting for me and finding fun new series to share with the people that follow me.
Let me share some other goals with you below;

Commitment
I saw many great people stop posting because they did not get the result they were looking for, so please people don’t join the platform to make money, I can happen but especially in the beginning you will have to invest a lot of time. Don’t worry everybody I am here for the long run.
Part of my commitment will be to look to the introduction and travel feed every day in order to support the people that just joined the network and the people with great travel content.
On average I fully upvote 2-3 times a day to account I don’t yet know, so to all the new people keep sharing and you will be noticed!

Steemfest
A other goal I have to attend Steemfest 3, I missed number one when I was in my hometown because I was not part of the community yet! Such a shame would have been great to be there. The second I could not get time off from work (9-5 grind booeh!) so when I find out where the third is been help I will try my very best to make it. Looking forward to meet as many people of the platform in real-life.

Languages
I would really like to offer my post in multiple languages to cater more people on the platform, so right now I am saving some money to invest in people that can translate my posts! Really looking forward to the moment I can add a language. Don’t know if this goal is realistic but he, let’s keep in dreaming.
