Islamabad, The beautiful

Say hello to the most beautiful city in the world at this time of the year <3 With rains and those clouds over it most of the times. Just came across these beautiful photos and I thought this should be the post today. This is my second post on this city, although the city can still not be presented enough in one or two posts, one must visit it in person to know the true potential this city has, its the best planned city in the country and the well deserved capital city also. The city was built in 1960 to replace Karachi as the Capital city of Pakistan and is located in the northwest of the country. The need of a permanent Capital after the formation of Pakistan in August 1947, to reflect diversity of the nation.

Islamabad is cleaner,better planned, spacious, and a very quiet city with a lot of greeneries as compared to any other city of the country.City's site has a history which goes back to the Asia's earliest human habitations. This part of the country has witnessed ancient caravans passing through it, massive armies of Alexander and Tamerlane, and the first settlement from Central Asia by Aryans.

Margalla Hills can be seen on the north of the city. Snowfall in the mountains, hot summers, cold winters and hot summers outline the climate of the city. Capital city also rich wildlife from leopards to wild boars. There are very less cities in the world which are also the Capitals of their respective country having this close proximity to nature as Islamabad does.

Margalla Hills which are a continuation of Himalayan mountain ranges serve as the beautiful boundary to the city with the soil on the hill being enough fertile to have green tress, plants and the beautiful herbaceous plants as well. Many hiking excursions are held each year by a lot of clubs and companies which make these hills very important for all age groups. It is the safest city in the country so anyone who wants to experience hiking camping can come here, local people are very friendly and kind. The city receives the most number of tourists from around the country and from abroad as well. There are about eight famous hiking trails which are assigned with numbers and some two with names. The authorities and forestry department of Pakistan have tried their best to keep the level up and revive tourism in the area.

The city rests 14 km north east of the historic city of Rawalpindi in the province of Punjab, lying at altitudes which range from 475 to 610 meters.

I will be back with the history of the city in next posts, that's it for now as I have got a lot to study and the days keep getting shorter as the winter approaches.
