Around the World in About 80 Minutes: Exploring Epcot

in #travel7 years ago

Hey everyone, how are you today?

I'm pretty good. I'm a little sad to say this is my last day in Florida but excited that I'll be in North Idaho soon. I'll be sharing the rest of my pics from this past week and a half from there.

So after spending multiple days visiting the different Disney parks here in Orlando I think I'd be hard pressed to choose a
favorite.

However, if I HAD to pick one I'd probably have to choose Epcot because I just love walking the World Showcase and seeing all the different countries. I mean, yes there is something wanting in the experience if you compare it to truly traveling the world (which is something I plan to do in my future), but for a cultural excursion that can fit into the space of one day, I think it's pretty awesome.

Oh, and don't forget to visit Club Cool either, it's a fun stop to make in the park where you can sample a variety of sodas from around the world. I'd recommend small sips at first, especially with Italy's contribution, Beverly, because they may not all be your flavor.

Another reason to love Epcot is for it's annual festivals and events. Right now the international flower and garden festival is going on and the park is overflowing with vibrant flowers and incredible topiaries. You can also taste foods from so many countries at the various stands and carts set up around the park, but more on that in the next post that's going to be focused around the food from the parks.

One last thing that I really enjoyed was getting to ride the new Frozen ride. The lines for this ride are pretty ridiculous almost all day long but we were able to catch a ride right before the night show started and only had to wait about 15 minutes. It was such a lovely ride and I just love that they made it feel so authentically like Norway.

Man I loved Epcot center would really like to go again maybe one day with enough steem.

Well, keep contributing to steemit and I think your wish may come true

I've visited several times, EPCOT is a must see if in Orlando!!
Great photo's Gringa!! Thanks for bringing it here to Steem it!!

Thanks so much @paradise-found. So, what part of Epcot is your favorite?

Oh man, EPCOT is huge! I love EPCOT!!
Picking my favorite...hhmmm, I dunno
I love visiting the Countries around the lake, that's awesome.
The underwater sea world is great.
The ride in the big EPCOT ball was fun.
I like the ride through the body at one of the places. That was so cool. Yes, this would be my favorite. They pretend to shrink you down to microscopic size and you ride a ship through a human body!!
But seriously, it's very hard to pick, but thanks for asking.
What is your favorite? The Frozen ride? (which was not there my last time)

I would have to say Soarin

Thanks - I just watched the full Soarin ride in POV on you tube. It looks like a great ride. I have seen similar in IMAX and once in a 360 degree theater. I love the feeling of flying, but it takes awhile to get used to, at first its kinda frightening.
The ride I described is called "Body Wars" and is in the Wonders of Life Pavilion. You can watch the full ride here,

That is great, thanks for sharing that with me.

You're welcome, glad you liked it!

Did you pass by Nigeria in West Africa?.......Grinning

They left that one out, sorry about that @oluwoleolaide

All these images are beautiful ! reminds me of Disneyland when we went there for spring break this year it was magical!

Oh great, you went to Disneyland, that is really cool. Do you have pics? If so, you should do a post

Before I had ever left the US, my parents took me here so I kind of got to see some other countries. That Frozen ride wasn't there back then though, it was a viking ship ride that I used to love. Club Cool was definitely there, I loved trying all those weird sodas. Thanks for jogging my memories, I followed you, would love if you followed back

Fantastic comment @brevebronovan. Thanks so much for taking the time to give such great content

fun for kids and adults

I think more so for adults than kids, but that is just my opinion. Thanks so much for commenting @sunildkavuri

Great journey you show us here!

Thanks @schamangerbert. Thanks so much for commenting

You are welcome!

I might be coming to Epcot in a couple of months so I was very exited when I saw your post. Florida Is a much longer trip for me since I live oversea tho. I counting the days, i cant w8.
Gratz on the quality of your pics, I really liked them.

hold steem small

What month? I'd recommend coming with low crowds, highly recommend it

Ill be coming up in early august. I have rented a house using airbnb and all. It should be a lot of fun

Just a word of warning, it will be super crowded then, I mean super crowded. As long as you are prepared for that, you should be ok.

I dont think I can change the date around at this point tho. Just wondering what would make it so crowded in august ? When u say prepay you mean like getting a fast pass at some sort? Im not sure if they have those available at Epcot, do they?

August is a month when the majority of people in the Northern hemisphere take vacation. In the states, all schools, universities and the like are out of session, so where do they go, Disney. August is the peak month followed very closely by July. Yes, FASTPass will be a must. After you buy your disney tickets, you will have 30 days in advance to book fastpasses. There are several blogs out there that tell you how to do all this

btw, what kind of camera did you use on this Epcot trip?

Oh, I used a combo of my favorite camera, the Nikon D5300 and some cell phones, my Dad's Moto G4 and my Blu RD H1

Too bad Disney was most likely a pedo who added all sorts of sexually explicit garbage to Disney work.

Well, I won't argue with you on that, but, if we're going to start using that as a metric, then we won't be able to leave our houses and we'll have to stop watching all forms of entertainment. If you look for that bad, you will surely find it because it is prevalant everywhere. But, I'd prefer to look for the good. Just saying. I do appreciate your comments @thelightreports.

I study and specialize in revealing Luciferian pedophiles- sorry but when I see Disney stuff I think disgusting pedo trying to sexualize children. It's not what I see it's what it IS.

Ok, if that's where you want to be, then I believe you are free to there, so be free my friend.
