Summer Yard Sale Revisited

When I zoomed into this photo I got all nostalgic, noticing toys the kids played with and clothes they grew out of.
It's a picture of a yard sale we did with the neighbours, taken from an upstairs window.
We moved all the cars from the mews for the day and set up our tables, mostly selling to people passing by.
It was a lovely neighbourly summer day and one we said we'd do again but we never got round to it. Instead we have a mews BBQ each year, come rain or shine, which is always great fun.

Who would sell Scrabble?! Not expecting anymore rainy days??
I have lots of versions of scrabble because I use the tiles in my art @sukhasanasister. That was probably just one too many! 😂
It's a good way to clear out unused items, but it is a lot of work, isn't it? Hope all is well with you!
That is my plan for this year too, especially the art stuff. I have so much I don't know what to do with it all. Not much good for yard sales though.
This was a one off and was good fun as all the neighbours and family were there but my daughter does a couple of boot sales a year, as the kids grow out of things, so we tend to save stuff up and give it to here to sell. The rest goes to charity shops.
I'm considering resurrecting my web site so I can sell some of the art stuff there but getting people there is the hard part. I used to sell creativity packs at one time. I sort of surprise package for people who do mixed media. I love that sort of thing but the marketing is hard. It would probably mean I'd have to go back on Facebook and I don't want to do that.
Anyway, for now, it's a moot point as it's way too cold to be up in the attic sorting though stuff. 😁
