Wonderful Wineglass Bay
I chatting earlier with @sparkesy, in Discord, and he reminded me he lives in Tasmania - one of my favourite places I've been lucky enough to visit in recent years.
Since I'm on a mission to sort out more stuff that needs doing as a result of my handbag being stolen last weekend, I thought I'd make a quick revisit to one of my pics from my Tassie trip.
One of my favourite places on our tour was Wineglass Bay and looking at this photograph it's not hard to see why.
We spent a couple of weeks touring Tasmania as part of a longer trip which started in Melbourne, Australia. We were all stunned by the beautiful and unspoiled scenery we were confronted with everyday.
It was a long hike up and down to Wineglass Bay followed by a walk along the length of the beach and then through the woods. A truly beautiful experience.
I only hope I get the opportunity to go back one day. 😊
Time for me to bite the bullet and get the crappy stuff done I've been putting off.

Did you have any luck recovering any of your items from the other day? Were you able to get more security footage?

There was security footage that showed the theft and the thief quite clearly. However, the police contacted me yesterday, a week after the event, and said they didn't have the name of venue!
Obviously I had given that when I reported it and I'd added it in a form on their website so it sounds like the different departments don't co-ordinate well.
So, no luck recovering items and not luck getting it investigated despite their being clear pictures of the thief.
The next step is they email the venue for a still from the footage then circulate it then write it off as an unsolved crime when they get no more information.
I'm still working through the ramifications of it - new credit cards, locks, phone etc. etc. 😢

Would love to go to Tasmania one day. Much of the wilderness there has thankfully been saved from logging etc by the efforts of Bob Brown and his campaign supporters: Bob Brown Foundation ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎
You really should go. It's beautiful. A step back in time.
We'd like to go back and explore the south west which is the real wilderness area. We didn't have time to do it all when we were there.
It probably won't be until John retires though as it's such a long trip.
