Abstract Sun Through Glass Roof
I'm trying to decide if I have enough energy to take myself off to the beach today as I'm still feeling pretty rough.
Lying, listening to the sound of the waves is very appealing (although as its's the weekend it will probably be a bit busy for that) but putting on the sun cream doesn't appeal at all. I wish someone would invent a pill you could take instead. 😂
While I decide I though I'd post one of my favourite black and white photos of all time.
I entered it into the daily monomad contests when the theme was abstract but it didn't win any prizes. I still think it's rather good myself. It was an opportunity to take some photographs that were a bit more unusual.
This one is of the roof in the Westfield Shopping Centre, Hammersmith, London. I wanted to capture the sun between the struts and in this photograph I was able to do just that. 😊
It was taken with my Samsung A5 and no filters were used.

Yes, great capture! I too love the sound of the ocean! When we go on a vacation to the ocean I always like to wake up early and go out on either my balcony or go on down to the beach and listen to it! The only solution I know is to go out before 9 am and then get under some shade for the most intense part of the day! FYI, my last trip to the beach was 2 years ago at this time - to the Florida Keys...I'm really wanting to plan another trip to a beach next summer!

What a lovely capture
That's a cool roof. It must be made to drain off the edges, but it looks as if it would collect water. That wouldn't work here in minnesota, with the sticky snow we get.
It does look like it would collect water but I'm pretty sure it doesn't. If I'm ever in the area when it's wet I'll try and remember to take a look. 😁
I think it’s rather appealing too - very mysterious looking with that odd shape. And suddenly, there’s the sun.
