April Swimming UK Deja Vu
Sun's Out Let's Swim 😂
The weather this year has been uncannily like it was last year, when I took this photograph - a week or so of temperatures in the mid 20s! 😱
And, once again, it took more than a sea temperature of 9.3 degrees Celsius to keep the Brits out of the water when the sun was shining. 😁
Admittedly these particular swimmers weren't taking any chances in their dry suits, mittens and shoes - note the guy with his double swimming caps - but there were plenty of other people in ordinary swimming trunks and costumes in the water!!! 😱
I kid you not. We got to the beach about 3.00 p.m. and from then until we left about 6.00 p.m. there was a steady stream of people swimming. To be fair the sea temperature had increased from the 8.3 degrees Celsius it was on Wednesday. But 9.3 degrees C, really? 😂
Hats off to them is all I can say. Just don't expect me to join them anytime soon!
