WARNING! This post might make you want to attend Steemfest3!

When I was making my Steemfest2 Photo Dump, I had a good amount of photos of the food that was served. Putting them in with the rest made the post EXTREMELY long, so I decided to hold them back and give the foods of Steemfest2 their own post.

Remember, all this was included in the price of your ticket. What a great thing!

After checking in at the Hotel, I met @juanmiguelsalas. @nelyp, @acromott, and @karensuestudios. Miguel asked if I wanted to head over to the object Hackathon across town.

I even got to meet the SteemFest canine mascot - Laksha! (Who was so very tired from the exciting day and was napping while I enjoyed a complimentary beer)

Why the hell not? I'm here to meet people and check things out. After arriving, I found out that there was a small dinner being offered there for Steemfest attendees. Score!

Fish over rice with broccoli and some lettuce. The cup there is a soup, possibly a sweet potato one. You never really knew what was being served - it was all a surprise! You just had to figure out what you were eating as you went. I loved it!

The first day of Steemfest2 was held here. Inside, there was a nice little area that had a spread of little sandwiches, treats, and drinks like orange juice, coffee, or water.

Of course, Steemfest Lisbon was CREAMY & DELICIOUS! (a bit of an insider joke in that statement :D )

At lunchtime, they took away the breakfast spread and brought out the lunch items. I got two different sandwiches, some potato salad, a few other bits (that I can't remember), and a lovely fruit salad. Seating was limited, so I just grabbed a spot against the wall. No complaints from me, I am easy-going.

After a nice afternoon of different talks, it was time for dinner. The Belem Cultural Center had a nice patio area overlooking the Targus river as it headed out to sea. It was there that you could obtain a nice beer or wine. When dinner was ready, we all headed inside to grab a seat.

This first dinner I was introduced by my best buds, @ezzy & @rea, to @nanzo-scoop and @exyle. @nanzo-scoop and I had some nice discussions about money, motivation, and general financial mindsets - which is something I am always for talking about.

Then came the appetizer, a pea soup (see above photo) - the pea soup was to make an appearance at all the dinners. Is that a Portuguese thing or no? I really have no idea.

After the soup, we were served a nice fish entree (bass?) with broccoli and oven potatoes.

A scrumptious layered dessert was a hit in my book

After dinner, we all got back on the bus and, after a quick stop at the hotel, headed over to the snooker club that was rented just for Steemfest2 attendees. In case you got hungry during the night, there was a nice spread of hors d'oeuvres on offer. Of course, the club had an open bar for us - thanks for that, @roelandp!

Ok, so after a crazy night that did NOT end at the snooker club I was too tired and hungover to attend the talks during the second day. That means I missed the breakfast and lunch. But I did grab a taxi and made it in time for dinner.

That night I dined with @logic and one other person whose name I forget. One of the conversations between us was "The Tragedy Of The Commons" as it pertains to Steemit.

This pea soup had an egg!

If I remember correctly, this was a duck leg with a sweet potato mash and greens. Like I said, the foods were mainly a guessing game.

Dessert was a find slice of cheesecake with a white chocolate wedge and a raspberry smear. After dinner we were bussed downtown and had a little hike up the hill to another venue. It was an underground club, seemingly created out of a large wine cellar or below ground storage area - really sweet spot. If you want to see more of that, check out my previous post.

After night 2, there was a break in the schedule to allow for exploration of Lisbon. I chose to visit the Castelo de S. Jorge. This was the view from the battlements.

The farewell dinner was held at the awesome 'Estufa Fria de Lisboa' - an enclosed botanical garden of Eden.

They served an assortment of hors d'oeuvres - I took a photo of this one that looked like the last bit of an ice cream cone. I think it was some sort of a cream cheese with jam. I am not sure at all. If you were there and remember what it was, let me know.

That night I had dinner with @ezzy, @rea, @exyle, and @bkdbkd.

This dinner could have been a glazed chicken/turkey/duck with oven potatoes and a greens in stuffing mixture. Whatever it was, it was delicious! There was a dessert as well, but I didn't take a picture and I forgot what was served. Haha, oh well. If you know, leave me a comment about dessert that night. :D

After dinner, we all just chatted and a few people even started dancing as the night (and drinks) went on. Yes, one end of the hall had the open bar - its Steemfest after all! I had a flight at around 6-7am, but I still stayed at the gardens until they closed up around midnight or so.

What a great time! Everyone was amazing, the food was great, and the drinks never stopped flowing.
