Saludos a la comunidad de Garden Journal 2019. Este es un concurso alojado por la amiga @simplymike. Donde la pasión por las plantas, te lleva a realizar una publicación, para compartir con esta comunidad.

Se fueron las lluvias, y con ella se fueron algunas plantas también. El problema con el suministro del agua por el acueducto, que lo trae para las casa a empeorado. Pasamos muchos días sin agua. Mis plantas lo recienten. Trato de colocarlas hacia el lado, en donde están protegidas por el techo semisombra.

Algunas plantas han florecido, hay algunas plantas nuevas. También sigo trasplantando mis esquejes de Romero y Albahaca.

A pesar de la falta de agua, pude cosechar mi Jengibre y la Cúrcuma. Aunque los tubérculos, no tenían mucho grosor, si lograron ramificar lo suficiente.

The rains left, and with it some plants left too. The problem with the water supply by the aqueduct, which brings it to the house has worsened. We spend many days without water. My plants recently. I try to place them to the side, where they are protected by the semi-shade roof.

Some plants have bloomed, there are some new plants. I also continue to transplant my cuttings of Romero and Basil.

Despite the lack of water, I was able to harvest my Ginger and Turmeric. Although the tubers were not very thick, they managed to branch enough.

Hice una nueva preparación con mis tubérculos. El año pasado las corté y deshidraté. Me di cuenta que el polvo
de Jengibre y Cúrcuma deshidratado, no resiste mucho tiempo, aunque esté refrigerado. Pero en esta oportunidad, logre licuar mis raíces, con un poco de aceite y hacer una pasta con ellas. Me doy cuenta que la oxidación se retarda. Y al sacar pequeñas dosis de la pasta de mis raíces, para realizar marinadas a mis carnes, pescados, o simplemente agregar al arroz. Esta pequeña dosis, aun conserva su frescura y sabor.

I made a new preparation with my tubers. Last year I cut them and dehydrated. I realized that the dust

Hay en mi jardín una pequeña planta nueva, la Euphorbia milli rosada, de pequeño tamaño. Cambia de color y de forma, no entiendo porqué.

Se alejaron las mariquitas, pero aparece esta nueva. Con esta máscara en su cara, que me parece muy hermosa. Sin puntos en su espalda y con el color metalizado más brillante.

The ladybugs moved away, but this new one appears. With this mask on his face, which seems very beautiful to me. No stitches on his back and the brightest metallic color.

Mi planta de Banana enana, ya está produciendo sus frutos, solo que de menor cantidad. Me imagino que por la falta de agua.

La planta de papaya, por fin me dio su primera fruta. Pequeña, verde, pero con características de maduración en proceso.

Cuando maduró totalmente y la piqué con el cuchillo. Mi sorpresa fue mayor, es una papaya de color rojo. Son las más dulces. En efecto cuando pude probar su sabor, es extremadamente dulce. Un regalo de Dios. Ahora espero que maduren las siguientes, con más ánimo.

Mis plantas de rosas, se secó. De todos los esquejes que sembré, solo uno pude conservar. Luego lo pasé al suelo, y ahora está comenzando a florecer. Su madre tenía las flores en ramilletes. Con un aroma perfumado, perfecto para las tardes de brisa.

My rose plants dried. Of all the cuttings I sowed, only one could keep. Then I passed it to the ground, and now it is beginning to bloom. His mother had flowers in corsages. With a scented aroma, perfect for breeze evenings.

También sembré una planta de hibisco. Me encanta cocinar sus flores y tomar el jugo de sus botones florales rojos. Su sabor es cítrico y con un poco de dulzor. Para el mediodía después del almuerzo, a mi hijo y, a mi, nos gusta tomar este rico jugo.

I plant a hibiscus plant. I love cooking your flowers and drinking the juice of your red floral buttons. Its flavor is citric and with a little sweetness. By noon after lunch, my son and I like to drink this delicious juice.
