Steeming Community Weekly Contest 01: What if Coronavirus Never Come?

What if coronavirus never come?

This is a very good question that keeps on coming back and forth in my head from the past few months when I didn't realized yet how still blessed I am despite of the circumstances that the pandemic has brought into my life...

It is a reality that coronavirus affects everyone, I don't think there are people excempted into this but if there is/are, well lucky for them!

Going back from last year before coronavirus was known and the pandemic surged, I was enjoying a life that I have been wanting for long time. The place where I have found peace and independence, able to explore a lot of things I have restricted my self to do when I was in my ordinary days/life... and the time that I was able to see that life has a lot to offer for everyone.

Background of my what if's
Those things I found in Chiang Mai, Thailand the place where I call my second home. Before all the like nightmare happens, I went home for my wedding. I was on leave from work for a month to get married. But then, when me and my husband about to go back to our home in Chiang Mai, things got closed and separates us for almost 5 months.

Where am I supposed to be now?
If coronavirus didn't come...

I supposed to back home now with my husband in Chiang Mai starting our own life as husband and wife independently.

I am back to work as an English teacher to Thai students with less workload and a non-stressful job I ever had.

I am enjoying and nourishing my spiritual life with my churchmates whom I find my second family.

Extending a lot of charity works and helping most of the villagers in the country to the most I could do.

My husband won't get stress a lot of times because he is away from the job he loves the most, which me alos helping him do some of his work.

Enjoying foods which are very affordable and the places to go almost everywhere in Chiang Mai is just relaxing.

But I still believe that God has a purpose why He brought me back to my family here in Cebu and reunite me and my husband here because He has a greater plan for us. He has blessed us abundantly after all those crying times when I was stranded for almost 3 months in Manila (place where I don't have friends and family) plus the stressed we had before the wedding day.

God has poured blessings more than I deserved that He allows me to get pregnant as soon as I was reunited with my husband and now we are waiting at least 6 weeks to see our bundle of joy.

We may have plans in our lives but we should not forget to offer them all to God and ask for His guidance and wisdom to what He wills for us.
