The blocktrades contest | ParkWhiz - Book the Best Spaces & Save Up to 50%

bce.png

There are many Steemians I know who I would consider role models. I am not one of them. I am entering this contest, because it seems fun and who would decline possible upvotes by @blocktrades. Also, this contest is super easy to participate. So, why not?

I mainly engage in the following communities: Curie, Archruid Gaming, Steem Poker League, and Steemhunt. My blogging in the last few months was mainly part of my engagement and contributions to Steemhunt.

Here is one of my recent hunt posts:

I know hunt posts may not be able to compete with tons of quality posts by traditional measurements. However, I believe they add value both to Steemhunt and Steem platform in general. Steemhunt is an awesome project with fast growing community. I trust in vision and fortitude of the Steemhunt team who are building something amazing and paving the way for many future projects on Steem to follow.

I would like to encourage fellow hunters to particiapte in this contest. It is as easy as posting a hunt. :)

Dropping by to support your latest post @geekgirl. Very interesting to see it is about a contest. Once I am through writing this, I will have to check it out!

Seeing your support of my recent post was encouraging to me, so I wanted to return the favor. When I saw your name, I was sure I had seen it before. From memory, I confirmed it was your helping hand with information on my post about my Curie award. And, at that time, learning you were …

”… I started curating all thanks for sensei @geekgirl for recommending me.”

… behind the work of @lordkingpotato, who found that post and submitted it to Curie.

Thanks you for all that you do, @geekgirl! I’m sure I don’t know that half of it, but people like you keep us going. Until we “meet” again, all the best to you with the contest! 👍

P.S. I know your time is valuable and you may not have enough to answer this question. Which will be fine. But, it is always very interesting to me to know how other Steemians find your work. So, if you have a minute to let me know, that would be much appreciated!

Thank you for your kind words and support. I remember your post when you were looking for lordkingpotato and conversation in the comments was interesting too.

Regarding your question, if you mean in general "How people find posts?", I think it varies. Some, like Curie curators, actively search for quality undervalued posts. Everybody uses different methods, some use steemlookup.com, some use steemsql, some search by categories, etc.

In general, I think people just go through their feed and read what's in the feed (content by those who they follow). Resteems help to discover new authors too. Usually if one follows quality authors, they tend to resteem quality content as well.

I, personally don't care much about how people find my content. I am not a blogger. But if I were an active blogger and heavily invested time and effort, then I would also spend time and effort building followership, rewarding them back, make new friends, and build my blog.

I think you are doing great. You should be telling me the answer to that question. Whatever you are doing seems to be working. Thanks again.

Thank you for investing your time in this reply @geekgirl. Very nice to hear from you and my pleasure in returning some encouragement and support.

” Regarding your question, if you mean in general ‘How people find posts?’, I think it varies.”

I can see my question was vague. Trying to follow my understanding of Steem protocol, I did not provide a link to or the name of my most recent post, but that was the intent of my question – how that particular post came to your attention. But I respect your perspective. Perhaps my post just caught your eye in your feed. Thanks again for supporting it. It documents a great memory with my family.

Also, thanks for your final words of encouragement. I am doing what I can with the time I have available. I am here for the long-term and continuing to invest in STEEM, as it drops in price.

I hope you are successful in the Blocktrades contest. Looking at the requirements for entry, I passed on it, as I don’t meet them.

P.S. I think you must be a very modest person in saying you are not a role model. @lordkingpotato, for one, clearly thinks otherwise.
