7 Habits of Highly Successful Steemians

Put simply, habits are actions done on regular basis over a period of time. Arguably, habits may largely determine a person's success or failure in life. In fact, you are whatever you've become today, good or bad, because of your habits.

For the few months I've been on Steemit, I've understudied some highly successful Steemians such as @adsactly, @hr1, @surpassinggoogle, @ejemai, @sndbox, @steemiteducation, @majes.tytyty, @steem-lagos, @frankbacon, @brotherdave, @stach, @arbitrarykitten etc. And I discovered, interestingly, that these successful Steemians have common habits.

Permit me to, very briskly, point out some of the important habits, methinks, have aided their rocketing Steemit success:

1. They Write Quality Posts

Successful Steemians take their time to churn out quality posts. These Steemians prefer quality to quantity. A quality post, of course, has good contents, follows basic grammar rules, and delivers a compelling message to its targeted audience. Also, a quality post is well formatted (using appropriate images or videos or both) and free from plagiarism.

2. They Use Customized or Favourite Tags

Successful Steemians don't just put up their quality posts in the air like fart and walk away. They carefully select favourite tags for their posts. In some cases, they have the habit of using customized tags. In both cases their aim is the same -- to dominate specific tags and make their posts visible.

For instance, @adsactly tags every posts he/she posts 'adsactly'. That way, it is easier to find adsactly posts and upvote them. Others have particular mainstream tags they consistently add to nearly all their posts.

3. They Intentionally Build a Loyal Fan Base

A vital habit possessed by successful Steemians is building a fan base, intentionally. While a number of Steemians relies on the rule of thumb to attract followers, successful Steemians deliberately posts articles that would attract the kind of followers they want. They reply to comments on their posts and, sometimes, upvote them to keep their followers spellbound. And, in some cases, they reach out to new Steemians to increase their fan base.

4. They Follow the Cryptocurrency Trends

Naturally, cryptocurrency is as erratic and unstable as the head of an agama lizard. It goes up and comes down. Therefore, highly successful Steemians have developed the habit of monitoring the progress and shortfalls in their cryptocurrency investment, so that they can make informed decisions. From time to time, successful Steemians know when to sell their digital assets, when to buy new ones, and when to hold the line.

The habit of monitoring cryptocurrency trends becomes important because the whole Steemit blockchain is driven by cryptocurrency.

5. They Promote Steemit

Another uniform habit of highly successful Steemians is that they promote Steemit online and offline. These great Steemians know that a stronger Steemit and Steem is only possible when there is growth on the Steemit blockchain. Consequently, there are thousands of platforms and projects through which these heroes passionately promote Steemit to the unsaved world.

6. They Power Up Regularly

The history of hitherto existing successful Steemians all over the blockchain is the history of power ups. These heavyweights have the habits of powering up as frequently as camels would drink water. In the end, they accumulate Steem power and become powerful forces in the Steemit community. While others are interested in cashing out, successful Steemians are visionaries who see beyond immediate gratification. They wait and strike only when they iron is hot.

7. They are Risk Takers

Successful Steemians would gulp down a cup of risk before they sip a cup of coffee. Aye. They delight in taking risks. They invest huge amount of money and other resources into their Steemit journey, believing that they would one day reap the fruits of their investments. Successful Steemians are daring and adventurous, willing to take the bull by the horn. They are never double-minded about the progress of Steemit, running accounts worth thousands of dollars.

I admit that the habits pointed out in this essay are not absolute and may, therefore, not guarantee success in all circumstances. However, any Steemian who ritualizes the habits identified above would, surely, not go astray. Habits are everything. Get the right habit. Be a successful Steemian.
