Emotion Based Thinking
Greetings Steemians,
Some of the worst decisions I've made in my life have been the result of emotion based thinking.
Emotions, expectations, entitlement, are like viruses on the human condition, and none of us are exempt from these influences.
We live in a world of competition. Why?
Well, if you can throw away the idea that reptilians are looshing our energy, and just think in terms of human nature, I think the answer becomes pretty clear.
Human beings by nature are greedy, and when given a choice of comfort or hardship, most "sane" humans will choose comfort.
We could live in a world where everyone has equal comfort, but this would entail equal effort, and did I mention laziness is a part of the human condition as well?
This all sounds so negative, and sometimes the truth purely is negative. Let's not beat around the bush here.
The world is in a negative state, and it is due to greed and laziness at the core.
The ones at the top are comfortable, and if you think they will trade their comfort for yours, well you have another thing coming entirely. It simply will not happen. In order for the ones at the top to maintain their comfort(s), morality becomes questionable indeed.
But I'm not writing this to talk about how unfair the system is, and how it is each and every one of our own faults that things are this way, but hey... When 9 out of 10 people agree that things are wrong, and no one is willing to step within their moral compass to fix these major issues, then it definitely is, our fault. Agree or disagree, this is how I see it.

Now back to the topic at hand of emotion based thinking.
I propose that emotion based thinking is absolutely horrible, and will influence people to make decisions that they may regret later.
I have to check myself at times, this morning was one of those times. I will give an example.
I was curating #bilpcoin, which I generally do twice a day, and I started thinking a little negatively. I looked at my recent posts BPC payouts and thought:
"I'm one of the main curators on the frontend, I spend copious amounts of time reading and curating the community, and this is the thanks I get!"
Ego based sense of entitlement???
Definitely, and while looking at my posts, I was seconds away from 100 percent upvoting myself on two posts, when I took a deep breath and thought:
"Well futuremind, this would make you a hypocrite, considering you aren't a self upvoter, and have protested against self upvoting in the past."
Indeed!
I was not thinking clearly, and my emotional based thinking in that moment almost influenced me to go against my morals, my beliefs, and smash the upvote!
Thankfully I came to my senses and did not... because I want to see bilpcoin succeed, and there is not a ton of manual curation happening aside from the staff of the bilpcoin team, and maybe some small stakers. I feel I've made a positive impact on the frontend with my efforts, and so in that moment I realized that I was thinking with an ego driven sense of entitlement, completely on emotional overdrive.
So I went back to curating..
@bpc-future a'scrolling away, I stumble on a post that really made me think. A post authored by @chireerocks called Someone's Advantage Is Not Your Disadvantage || Dtube Poetry Series.
Interesting perspective, and nice post if I do say so myself. It also helped me think about the current circumstance of my negative emotional state.
I thought:
"It can also be said that someones disadvantage is not your advantage!"
Of course, how often do we see people use their position against those who are less fortunate? It happens all of the time!
And bringing it back around, I was thinking in terms of entitlement and emotion.
Thinking that my large stake and work curating entitled me to receive better support with the community.
Well, that is downright irrational and immature. I'm not the center of the universe, and I should never have thought so irrationally, but emotions will do that to us sometimes. At least, it does it to me, and I am mature enough to admit my faults. I'm not a perfect person, and I hope I can never say that I am!
After this morning experience of irrationality, I feel grateful.
Grateful for the experience, and grateful I was able to gain some perspective about myself and my flaws. I choose not to be hard on myself for this moment of irrational thinking, because negativity breeds more negativity.
I hope anyone reading got something out of this. Maybe it resonates with you? Maybe you've also experienced moments of emotion based thinking that were irrational?
I would love to hear your thoughts!
Thank you for reading. I hope you're all having a wonderful day!
Much love,
@futuremind

@futuremind, Definitely World is in Negative State because nobody is looking towards the greater good of Humanity. Those who are sitting on the Top they made Puppet houses where people go day in day out and named it as Work. In a way these work made us Bots and Emotionless. And competition made lives more tough where people want to beat others and finding proud essence in that.
We are living in the great deception and world will see it soon. Stay blessed.

Hi @futuremind, I am very happy to be able to read your very interesting posts. Talking about emotions, of course it is owned by everyone. There are people who have high levels of emotions or vice versa. but making decisions when we are emotional is not recommended. Have a nice day, sir.
I guess I should work on these things a bit more.
Thank you for the kind words miss.
Have a wonderful day.
