Help page of steemfollower has my article!
The founder of steemfollower, @mahdiyari, has been an encouraging senior member and witness. He took the time to read my article about my reflection about steemfollower and he asked politely whether he could add my article onto his help page of steemfollower.
If you go to steemfollower's support page, you can see my article listed by @mahdiyari.

My article has already passed 7 days so it can no longer receive any upvotes.
Does it really matter if it cannot bring anymore profit to me through upvotes?
We must look at the big picture. If my article can help more minnows to use steemfollower more effectively, they will grow and stay with steemit. It will help the whole platform to continue to build into a greater community.
In fact, there are many members who may complain about not getting much upvotes from steemfollower even though they have been upvoting in the system.
I am receiving on an average of 10 or even more in steemfollower actually. If we don't get much upvotes, it could be due to the quality of our articles or the simplest reason of poor title to attract even a reader to click into your article to read. I just wrote a recent article about how title can help authors.

We should do away with our narrow mind and don't just think about our own profit. Taking example like @mahdiyari who had used his own earning to support steemfollower as well as steemauto that allows you to support more quality authors more effectively even when you are not online for free. This sort of generous heart is not found in many but we can see lots of witnesses trying to help us.
If you do see good articles, we should always try to upvote as an encouragement even if the curation period is over. We should not be stingy. We are a community that should help one another. Even if it is just $0.01 upvote, we are showing authors who had put in hours of hardwork our appreciation.
If you look at my recent posts, I have decided to let those who upvoted me to earn slightly more curation. It is really not hard to do so if you ever decide to reward your supporters. You can easily get them from upvote bots. Most steemit members will know that most of the time, you will losing money when you buy upvote bots when you calculate it. If you are thinking of rewarding your strong supporters as well as to get your good article noticed, then it is worth it.
If you go to my blog to read my articles, you will hardly see me showing my referral link for steemfollower. When I wrote my article about steemfollower will really benefit new members.
Time to change your mindset. Have a bigger picture. We are pioneers of steemit even though we are still new in the platform. We will become at least a small whale one day if we continue to grow and find the right way as well as right mentors.
We should do away with the begging of upvotes. When your article is good and many like it, upvotes will come easily.
Whether an article is being upvoted is an approval to the ideas and content of article.
Don't you agree with me?
As a new member, my article is added into steemfollower help page is already a great encouragement to any new members out there. Your article will get recognised if you are willing to try and keep improving.
Thanks to all the great witnesses who are helping us!
Remember to vote for those deserving witnesses. It does not cost you a single cent to do so!
Upvote for the deserving articles so that we can continue to help one another.

Hi @fun2learn. I'm a new member here, and I just read your post up there. Steemit seems somehow hard to understand by us newbies. I really don't understand much of what you said. But I guess you said members shouldn't be stingy to upvote good articles. I just upvoted this post.
If you can so well to explain the basics of steemit to a newbie like me, I'd appreciate.
Ps: you can check out my #introduceyourslf story.
In simple, steemit is a place that you earn by having members to upvote your articles as well as comments. You can also earn by upvoting articles. One of the best place to understand steemit better is really its FAQ section. https://steemit.com/faq.html
After that, you will find many steemit members posting about how you can earn in steemit. Youtube and dtube also got good videos to learn more and clarify issues. It is really hard for one to share everything in one comment actually. You can always ask any member if you have a question or doubt as there are many helpful ones to assist you!
Thank you for this explanation. At least, it helps. I'm checking out the FAQ page out right away.
Congratulations on being featured, @fun2learn! I just went back and read the original article!
I agree with you on a lot of your points, particularly what you might find frustrating about using Steem Follower. I want my votes to go as far as possible, so I can give the people I think are worth the vote a meaningful amount of SBD/SP and some proper support. It's quite frustrating having to sift through all the lazy, vote grabbing posts to find the worthwhile content, but it is there (this article, prime example!).
I think, over time, Steem Followers potential will start to be fully realised. It's a great concept and the implementation works well. I just think we have to wait for the balance to tip towards high-quality content, much like we're having to wait for it to happen on Steemit itself.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the subject. It's always good to hear what other people in the community think and to learn more about the Steem ecosystem!
Thanks! We can work together as a great community.
