Persuasion : She Didn't Know
“See I can never settle for a man that’s not mobile and also man enough to have a jeep“ Bridget recapitulated this set of words day by day to her friends.
Bridget was a petrol attendant in a popular petrol station. She had the best womanly frame of body a man could ever think of.
She didn’t even have a ride but always waited for the right man with the expensive vehicle as that will be her heartthrob. She often disdains men who come on foot and always term them “Poor Folks”, though that was her personal attitude and taste.
Truly, the saying “dreams come true” sometimes always come true, a particular man came to dispense fuel and saw bridget.
“Hey, Pretty Lady, I’m Andrew by name” the young man said with his soft sweet voice.
“What’s going on?” A little smile cross her nice face and they started chatting.
Now she forgot about the primary reason at work but kept thinking about the new sparks of romance that has become her lot. She could no longer hide her feelings and also made it known to her closest friend.
“What can the old folks do? They only thought she was lucky.
“But what could the man want from a secondary school lover. He may want to marry her”
Six months into the game of romance, bridget had worn a new look with a protruding tommy,
where all her friends started wondering what could have happened and what they could say is :
“It’s like she’s eating well and also getting a pot belly hahaha” they laughed
Days turned weeks, and it was very clear bridget was pregnant for no man other than the man who gave her a spark of romance. Now everybody were very mad at her experience.
But the worst is yet to come. They really beeped in searching for the man, but to no avail, he was nowhere to be found.
One faithful morning, while crying soberly
checking on some of her articles, she stormed on the andrew’s card and traced the address and noticed that the man was just a mere driver at the embassy and he only have access to vehicles attached to the embassy. She was deceived by appearance of what she values as necessary for romance.
Life’s Lesson : Wanting great favor without a developed mind is an opportunity for crafty men to go about pretending to have a flamboyant life to devour women of easy virtue of wanting to please them.
