Good times ahead for Steemians?

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

The last couple of days I have tried to increase the value of my posts through posting via @dclick.

If you post through their site you will have a small banner and get tokens if people click on it.

Pretty simple...

But this is not the only way.

With @partiko and @good-karma`s eSteem you have more options now to receive an additional vote if you post with their app.

So far you cant mix @dclick with the others but maybe sometimes in the future.

I know there is also @steem-hunt and @actifit but I am not familiar with them at all so I will let them out for now and want to focus more on the 2 mobile apps.

Both creating a win-win

Rewarding users

@partiko is working with a point system. Upvote, post, comment and you will receive a couple of points. 1000 points can be exchanged for 1 Steem.

You get rewarded 10 points per comment so 100 comments done via @partiko = 1 Steem.

Therefore you have a little message beneath your comment.

I dont really mind it but I am not a fan of it either.

Nevertheless the point system brings in another level where you feel rewarded very quickly and it definitely encourages user engagement.

eSteem is rewarding users as well. You will get an upvote from time to time from @good-karma himself.

I think with the point system, @partiko is doing a better job towards engagement. What is more profitable? I cant tell you but as the rules on @partiko are pretty clear about what gives you points and how and how much you need to redeem them makes it a bit easier to calculate.

The mobile apps both work great. There are some features I like more from eSteem like that I can put in a code so not everyone can just open and use the app. It is easier to see who supported you the most at any given post. Also if someone unfollows me I get a notification.

A great feature from @partiko though is that it is showing an estimate of the curation rewards.
Also it is loading a bit faster on my phone than eSteem.

One feature I have not used yet is the chat function of @partiko but this is a hell of feature, assuming it works well.

For now I cant declare a clear winner and I will continue using both more or less. But I am pretty stoked to have not 1 but 2 of such good looking and smooth running apps to choose from.

But with certainty I can say that more and more dapps and apps will come to Steem and they want to be used. They want your attention and delegations and they will reward you for it creating more win-win situations.

So far both seem to reward users through the reward pool but maybe this will change as well with the next generation of dapps.

It is good to be a Steemian now

and it will be even better in a couple of years

I did not fact check this so take this with a grain of salt but afaik only eSteem is open source.

Another cool tool from @good-karma is the surfer 2.0.5 which I am actually using to write at the moment.

It is basically a desktop client for your PC with some nice features like scheduling your posts and a word count.
Both are new to me as I usually always posted via good old steemit.com but I think this will change now as I enjoy it quite a lot and writing more than 30 words on my phone is a nightmare for me.

Did you try out both?

Which app do you prefer?

Sort:

I've been using partiko for awhile now.
But I mainly use it for the notifications.

When I'm on steemit, It is at home in front of the big screen.

I can't keep up with all the newfangled coins and tokens.
Back in my day, We used to keep an onion tied to our belt....
because that was the fashion!

It is getting harder to keep up. I mostly use steemit on my PC as well but I kind of got hooked by collecting points.

I would like to post with Partiko but i am not going to compose an entire post with my thumbs on my slow-ass phone. I do use it when I am on the go and like the messaging system, although no one ever replies haha.

I will massage you later

for science

how about just message me? :P

since a few days i´m using tasteem to post restaurant reviews which is pretty good so far.

I wanted to give that a try as well

I like partico, but I'm not a fan of being a walking, talking advertisement...
