The rock climbing looks like fun! I'd probably take less difficult routes, but I haven't climbed like that since I was young.
It wasn't too bad, a little chilly but the sun had hit the rock just enough to take the bite off. The boulders are not bad for such a small out cropping and I have about 70 problems between all 3 areas. The traverse is kind of my go to since it is good for doing laps and is at most 5 feet off the ground.
That rock climbing area looks legit! Is that somewhere you can go anytime? Free to the public? I've not done much rock climbing, a little here and there and mainly indoors. A bit lame I know.That looks like fun though.
It is 3 miles from my house and took me FAR too long to find. We lived here for 8 years before I found it... But in the last year and a half I have gone all in developing it and putting up problems.
Climbing is climbing, some is just more exposed than other. I grew up on rock and have a very hard time going to plastic, but i have a ton of local rock to develop so have little need.

I haven't climbed for a while and with a few little back issues now it may never happen again although never say never right? I have visions of hanging, one handed, off a cliff face somewhere...But then I wake up and realise I'm too damned old! 😜
I am in my early 40s and am climbing harder than I have in my life. It is all the drive and determination to go out and do it. It is not the easiest to balance but has been happening. My body is a pile of shit now and I fight the pain but it is worth it to be on the rock. There is little else in this life that gives me the same focus, satisfaction, and me time that i require for sanity as climbing. Even if it is just bouldering for 15 minutes, it is very grounding.
I had thought you were younger actually. I'm 49, almost 50 (few months away). I am pretty active but could certainly be more active. I think it's important to be so as we get older. Much of what I do involves the outdoors...Hunting, hiking, kayaking etc. however I think I need to add some more resistance into my week...Weights etc. I'm working on it, maybe I'll go climb some rocks (indoor) too. Thanks for responding.

Sounds like me. I guess life gets in the way though right? I've had a couple little injuries holding me back so things come to a halt...Then when they clear up I've moved on and something don't go back to what I was doing. I'm reasonably active though.
