You're invited to come join in the process of carrying this story to a befitting end 😊

The Beginning

The whole process was annoying, I was tired of being told what to do. Couldn't take it anymore, I had to step out. The cool breeze of the southern park was needed to refresh my skin. I had to step out; outside promised a lot more than I was currently getting in here. And oh boy did I get a lot more than I bargained for.

The sound of airplanes flying over was very normal to us over here but today, it was weirdly comforting. I was beginning to feel a lot better when I noticed that the sound of the airplane did not in fact, disappear into thin air. It must have been over forty five solid minutes and I had no idea a mini warfare had been going on in the air.

For a minute I was shocked and rooted to the floor and just watched. I wanted to scream but couldn't.

"It was probably a rehearsal" I told myself.

Time passed and the plane began swerving closer to the ground. I ran inside probably faster than my legs could carry me.

"Tomi, hurry. Come out and see" I screamed and started for the door almost immediately.

Tomi met me outside and we both watched for a few seconds before the whole neighborhood came rushing out. They must have heard me scream.

"Get your phone quick. The camera" I said to Tomi.

Of course I should have used mine all these while but it mysteriously stopped working few weeks ago.

At this time, the whole neighborhood was in chaos. Clueless kids were running around with as much excitement as ever, adults were busy trying to figure out what exactly was happening, so many phone calls, packing of bags and belongings, all at the same time.

While trying my best to record in the midst of this chaos with shaky hands, all I could think of was the fact that this was going to be yet another plane crash in this country. Only that it would be in my neighborhood this time and the press, with the whole world would be here any minute. The latter part of that thought made my stomach turn.

"My neighborhood wasn't for everyone. We sure don't want to be on tv..."

A loud scream broke my line of thought and brought me back. The airplane was about running into the tallest building in our neighborhood; the church, but at the last second turned upwards and reached for the skies.

"What could be happening over there?"

"Could both pilots be asleep?"

"You know our country very well, maybe it's just the one pilot and he's probably too tired after one too many trips"

We could only guess, nobody knew what was really happening.

The gasps and screams like the previous one continued as each of the buildings in our neighborhood escaped being crashed into by the plane.

As more buildings escaped this crash, I began to sense that the force saving us from the crash was beginning to wane. The crash was now seemingly inevitable and all the bag packing now seemed to make a lot of sense. All these had been going on for well over an hour and the force on our side must have felt that was more than enough time to alert us and allow us get our stuff out. Well, it was certainly enough time to alert us but whatever that force is, must have underestimated our inability to make decisions on time.

All of a sudden the noise around became louder. I was standing in the midst of the chaos, recording, but was also wandering away at intervals. This time, I was lucky to get back to reality in time to at least know the reason for my death. The plane was now approaching me at top speed like it had something to whisper in my ears. I was more determined to record as much as I could so I didn't move, even though the recording was now as though I was conducting an orchestra.

Everywhere became quiet. And dark. I could not see a thing, I could not hear a thing. Nothing was moving. Nothing. I was in a state where even my thoughts couldn't talk to me. I had no idea what was going on and remained that way till I could see some strange figures. Then they began to move, towards me. "Whaa- what are these?" My thoughts asked me. Oh so now I can see and have my thoughts back but couldn't still move. I wanted to run so bad from these strange figures but I just couldn't.

The force had finally given up. The plane had landed on an abandoned building and had required three houses to bring it to a halt. "No fire!" Was the first sigh of relief in what now seemed like an eternity.

They were like spirits that you could see with flesh that made them look human at the same time.
They looked just like humans, exactly like humans, only that no human weapon had any effect on them. They must have been spirits also then. Human and spirit at the same time. They could hold you with a very strong grip but you couldn't even touch them. These were no vampires. They were in no way interested in making humans like them. The trained soldiers were losing the battle, I was not even trained at all. I could only watch from under the wreckage I was hiding.

After so much running, I found my way into the airplane. The same airplane that brought in these beasts. There was many of them littered all over. Apparently the only humans on the plane were the crew members...

TO BE CONTINUED.

Note

So I found this buried deep in my note taking app and it's from January 13, 2017. I think it was a dream I had and tried really hard to recollect. From reading it, I believe it was quite frightening and intriguing and so the story shouldn't end there.

Can we come together to make this into something? I have a previous experience with corestory

Who would like to pick it up from here and run with it?

Let me know in the comments.

Mehn this is one hell of a lovely story... Cant wait for the end, Finishing it would be awesome but i don't have enough ideas.. Lovely.😊

😊 let's see what happens next. Maybe you'll have some ideas after that 😌

Yes😄, that will be cool, i hope my brain will be up for the task.😥

I had to talk to the pilot, I scanned the empty airplane and moved towards the cockpit. Suddenly the cockpit door opened and a man that I assumed to be the pilot asked in a dazed voice, "Where am I?" Well, I thought I was the one that needed answers. I told him he's at Ettebbe. He repeated, "Ettebbe?". I nodded. This answer made him more perplexed as he pondered. Finally, he spoke, "The last thing I remembered this morning was dressing up and heading to the airport. I was almost halfway to the airport when suddenly a saucer-like object landed in front of my car in the middle of the highway and I blanked out"

The next guy could continue from here :)
