Happy Together In Life's Simple Ways

During weekends, I used to go to the shoreline near a port in our town for small boats carrying passengers going to Bohol, a neigboring province. I noticed a portion of the sea just near the port was utilized as a swimming area for many people so I went there. I saw happy families swimming and eating, with my appreciation of simple but joyful life. Most are eating sea urchins, some are broiling fish bringing with them bottled beverages.

Observing the scenario makes me joyful too, it adds my main purpose of having a little exercise through walking with the fresh sea air.

I was tempted to come down and walk in parts with just shallow water. I tried searching for shells but only the smaller ones I saw until I found the only sea urchin in the green leaves.

This creature made me smile, having those stingy thorns but can satisfy people when meat is eaten.

As I continued walking I approached little children playing with the sand.
She is Ceejay, quite shy when I asked few questions but tried to answer honestly. My first question to children mostly is to what grade they are. I always feel sad when a child says he left for school and thanks God she said she is in the sixth grade now and to think only a month left for the school year. She will be in high school by June. I also learned that her two companions were her siblings one is in Grade four, the other is a kindergarten student, the other companion is Grade 2 who is her cousin.

I strolled and took pictures with the sea view and decided to go home when I felt the sun already started heating. Here are some pictures to share.

It was a great early morning hike. I realized to come back next time with my children to enjoy in that public swimming ground. Realizing that there can be the same joy here as in paying higher amount on beach resorts. With life's simplicity, let's be practical in sometimes.
