Großer Schillerfalter ■ Purple emperor

Diesen großen Schillerfalter hatte ich ganz früh am Morgen entdeckt. Die Sonne kam mit ihrem wärmenden Licht kurz durch die Kronen des Waldes, bevor sie hinter den Wolken endgültig verschwand. Der Schillerfalter hatte sich einen kleinen Nussbaum als Ansitz ausgesucht. Nachdem ich einige Aufnahmen aus der Hand fotografiert hatte, habe ich mein Stativ aufgebaut. Ganz langsam habe ich mich mit meinem Equipment herangearbeitet. Der Falter konnte sich so an meine Anwesenheit gewöhnen. Er fühlte sich von mir nicht gestört und ich konnte zahlreiche gute Aufnahmen fotografieren. Als die Sonne wieder hinter den Wolken hervor kam, war auch seine Geduld am Ende. Wenige Flügelschläge und weg war er wieder. Auf und davon in einen ereignisreichen Tag.

Ich werde immer wieder darauf angesprochen, in wie weit meine Aufnahmen und ganz besonders die Hintergründe bearbeitet sind. Dieses Beispiel zeigt wie minimal der Unterschied vom Foto bis zum fertig entwickelten Bild ist. Die Bearbeitung beschränkt sich bei mir im wesentlichen auf Lichter, Schatten und Kontrast. Manchmal ist es auch notwendig die Farbtemperatur um wenige 100 Kelvin anzugleichen.

Namensgebend war allerdings die Flügeloberseite für den Schillerfalter. Je nach Sonneneinstrahlung wird das Licht an den Flügelschuppen gebrochen und der blaue Schimmer kommt zur Geltung. An diesem Falter kann man sich nicht satt sehen. Es ist immer wieder ein besonderes Erlebnis, diesem imposanten Tagfalter in der Natur zu begegnen.

You can't get enough of this butterfly. It is always a special experience to meet this impressive butterfly in nature.
