Behind these stories, they didn’t notice how the cart stopped. Halt. The girls got out of the cart and began to look for a place to stay. It turned out that along the way, a few more wagons joined them. There were more people now. Elves settled on a fallen tree, and not far from the men who began to build a fire. The logs were damp and didn’t want to catch fire.

"Do we have a battle mage here?" the men shouted suddenly.

The people around started to move, but no one responded.

"What, no one can build a fire with a power of thought? This is your magic basis!" shouted another man, while the first unsuccessfully set fire to the dry grass.

A tall dark-haired young man came out of the crowd. His expressive eyes, which seemed absolutely black at dusk, attracted Siala's gaze. It seemed these eyes can see right through everyone who they look at. The guy stretched his hand toward the cooked ignition and a second later the fire broke out. Such a bright, beautiful and powerful fire. It wasn’t a little light that Siala was capable to create. Men thanked the pal for his help and he silently disappeared in the crowd. And the elf looked at this fire. To say that she was in admiration is to say nothing. To kindle such a beautiful fire within a second! Is it possible for any trained magician? Incredible! She must learn this!

"A strong mage," Marana said in surprise.

"Why?" The elf turned to her.

"Well, the basics are the basics, of course. But, as far as I know, a basic mage can only light a candle with the power of thought, or kindle a small undying light under the logs. And here's all fireplace. It seems the pal has a good supply of magical energy."

"Here's how. I thought every trained magician can do this."

"Of course not! I studied magic from the age of 8, but I still have a problem with fire. To heal a small cut was always a problem for me, but I couldn’t light a candle untill 16 years. And now it's not so easy for me either. One must have predisposition to battle magic to do such things."
