Home Mining With WinMiner, Second Withdrawal

in #winminer7 years ago

You might remember me telling you about home mining with the WinMiner client.

So far I did one withdrawal after I collected first $20.

Tonight it is time for the second withdrawal. My active balance is $20.56 and I will withdraw it to my local ETH address, kept in the Ledger Nano S hardware wallet.

Please, accompany me through the withdrawal procedure.

Withdrawal to ETH

As you can see the withdrawal form recalculates $20.56 to 0.02200257 ETH which is a price of $934,44 per ETH. A bit too much, I think.

Minus withdrawal and transaction fee leaves me with 0.02074603 ETH, around 6% less.

Current Bitstamp prize is $873.06 for 1 ETH.

When I multiply 0.02074603 ETH with this price I get $18,11.

It doesn't quite add up but it doesn't really matter. This is what I get out no matter how I calculate.

Checking Local Wallet on Etherscan

Looking up my address on to see whether the transaction came through.

It did.

Success!

Next Steps

In the following days I will switch off WinMiner and use NiceHash client. I have some unclaimed Satoshi there and I want to mine enough to make a withdrawal claim. Then I will return to WinMiner. It's not about money. I like it more because is somewhat lighter, less obtrusive and doesn't impede regular work when you run it in the background. This might be my subjective conclusion but hey, it's my computer and my decision :)

Historical Data

Here is the graph of how much in $ I've mined daily.

You should consider that the miner is not switched on all the time. And the prices have dropped too, of course.

Your Ledger Nano S Ethereum address is 0x34a3fe4ad6559cefec7194da51ea2e40f2ed9605

Why were you trying to hide it in the pictures in the post above? What harm can it cause for other people to know? None.

Hello, Oleg. Interesting and yes. I have a habit of obfuscating personal data. I guess I wasn't thorough enough :)
