HOW DOMESTICATED SHOULD A MAN BE?
I had this debate with a couple of friends sometime in December last year.
To what extent should a man be domesticated?
Where do we draw the line between the responsibilities of a man and a woman?
How can the man, or others around him, not feel he has been emasculated? (you know men and their ego)
The predominant viewpoint, especially in Africa, places the man as just the breadwinner and the pillar of the home. In other words, he should have no business doing stuff like cooking, cleaning, laundry or even babysitting. Where I'm from, he could even be called "woman wrapper" if he's seen doing such things.
I get that it would be weird to see the guy cooking all the damn time while the woman files her nails or something, but just imagine if they both did stuff together every once in a while. The sight is awwwwnn-provoking (I like to use the strangest of expressions). Plenty things can even happen under such atmospheres wink
As much as the woman is expected to take care of the house chores, I feel that a couple should do stuff around the house together. It strengths the bond between them. The man could choose to help out his wife with chores because he loves her; the woman, on the other hand, shouldn't sit tight and expect the man to do everything just because he's trying to be domesticated. It finally boils down to love and understanding between both parties.
Females, what do you expect your man to help you with around the house? Males, just how far do you think you can help with domestic stuff?
I would really love to see your different perspectives on this subject, so feel very free to comment.

It's important that a man contributes to the house chores, I mean a man is limitless as regard the kind of work he does at home, because the home chores are better shared than done by the ladies only
I'm with you on this
