Youtube Gaming Clash Royale Cringe Stream
The other day I decided to stream myself talking and playing Clash Royale. My main motivation is an excuse to practice my presentation and voice, while playing a game I like. I was definitely not happy with the results, but I wanted to share a reference point in case it gets much better in the future. Or not.
You might be wondering why I am not using DLive or DTube, and it's because none of them make it so easy to stream a mobile game as the Youtube Gaming app. I was thinking about nabbing the source video and uploading to DTube, but opted not to. Too much work for no real gain.
I might make some videos to do other non-gaming tasks on the mobile phone as well in the future.
Blast From the Past
While drafting this post, I suddenly remembered that my very third post on Steemit was about Clash Royale. I left my old self a present and completed a time loop there. Wow. I was thinking that I would be embarrassed at my older posts, but I'm actually okay with it. Maybe I need a year to be fully embarrassed.
Streaming Topic
Just to prepare you a little, for those that do not know: Clash Royale is a fast paced real time strategy game, composing of 3 minute battles where you deploy troops to attack the opposing side. The goal is to destroy the opponent's towers. It's a simple concept, but the strategy is delightfully complex. My favorite type of game.
I've been using this Mortar Graveyard Hybrid deck, and it is definitely a fun one to play, but a little bit difficult to get used to. The mortar is a long range building that can hit the opposing tower from afar, and the graveyard is a fun spell that can pop out skeletons in an area you choose. Tricky cards that are easily countered if the opponent knows it is coming.

As a bonus, I also made a previous recording which was the very first one I recorded. I'm sharing it because the battle itself was pretty exciting.

Lol. I watched your videos. Looks like you're having fun! Unfortunately, I could hardly hear what you were saying (my speakers were on 100% and the slider on your vid up to max). It could be that my Nelly was chewing a bone in the background (she's noisy).

Clash Royale is a game I never got into. Neither wanted tbh, as it was released just I was getting both Game of War fatigue and GoW remorse about the ridiculous amount of mony invested in my GoW account.
I didn't need another mobile money sink to replace evil with evil.
I think there's no real pressure to spend in Clash Royale. I think I probably spent a total of 10$ or something, but perfectly enjoyable game free to play.
Game of war looks like clash of clans which is made by the same company as clash Royale. Never got into those kingdom building types much.
hahaha! I play Clash Royale as well. but recently stopped as my phone broke down. and Steemit somehow overtook that’s part of my life ;)

Yeah it does tend to drain a phone battery fairly quickly. I did take a break because of steemit as well but will pop back in once in awhile.

Oh yeah, definitely! I was half expecting Steemit to already have a bunch of Clash Royale players though I haven't seen anyone talk about it.

I don't doubt it, but I was hoping for them to give me an easy way to stream what's on my mobile phone with an app as easily as it was with Youtube. I probably need to seek out the right software and peripherals, but I don't really want anything too fancy.
