Every war needs soldiers, weapons, strategies among other things.

The first thing that there must be in order to be able to unleash a war is that there are two sides and an objective to face.
In the natural world since ancient times there have been such conflicts.

Today I am going to talk to you about something similar but the spiritual field; unlike the natural world in this we are faced with things or beings that we do not see: satan and his army of demons.

This is a war between God and Satan, between good and evil and the goal is us, our souls.

Once we recognize and confess Christ as savior and become his faithful followers of Christ's soldiers and are part of God's army, the spiritual movement against us begins.

God in his word warns us that we face and provides us with armor but not any armor, it is a powerful armor.

So powerful that it helps us to overcome such an invisible enemy its machinations and attacks.

11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can stand firm against the snares of the devil.

What was the Apostle Paul talking about?

He was talking about spiritual evil, of what is satanic.

Approaching the end of his epistle the apostle Paul said, "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty strength." You can not defeat the devil with your own forces.

The Lord is the only one who can provide us with the necessary power.

Only the armor of God can resist the strategy and attack of satan, who has all kinds of weapons that by their effectiveness, could be compared with powerful missiles of this time.

14 Stand firm then, with your loins girt about with the truth, and clothed with the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace.
16 Above all, take the shield of faith, with which you can quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

What kind of battles is this?

• It is a battle of faith in a continuous conflict against evil.

• Jesus Christ himself, through his death on the cross, assured the victory of his followers. Book a triumphant battle against satan.

• Today Christians are in a spiritual battle waged with the power of the Holy Spirit against:

• The sinful desires inside of them.

• The ungodly pleasures of the world and all kinds of temptations and satan and their spiritual forces.

Christian soldiers must fight against all evil, not with their power but with the spiritual weapons that are:

• Compare our loins with the truth.
• The breastplate of justice
• Fit the feet with the preparation of the gospel.
• The shield of faith.
• The helmet of Salvation.
• The sword of the Spirit, which is The Word of God.

In the fight of faith we are called to:

• endure the sufferings as good soldiers of Christ (2 Tim 2: 3)

• Suffering for the gospel (Mt 5: 10-12)

• Fight the good fight of faith (1 Tim 6: 12 9)

• Let's fight battles (2 Co 10: 3)

• We will persevere (Eph 6:12)

• Let us come (Ro 8:37)

• Let's be Victorious (1 Co 15:57)

• Defend the gospel (Phil 1:16)

• Let's fight for the faith (Phil 1:27)

• Let our adversaries not frighten us (Phil 1:28)

• We put on all the armor of God and be firm.

• Let's demolish all the strongholds of satan (2 Co 1: 4)

• And let us become strong in battles (Heb 11:34)

Finally, dear brother:

I remind you that we have the lethal weapon to satan and it is THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, which is THE WORD OF GOD.

This is the Christian's offensive weapon for war against the power of evil.

Satan will spare no effort to destroy the confidence of the Christian in that sword that is THE WORD OF GOD.

The church must defend the inspired Scriptures (thanks to an initiative of @sirknight through @reliquary to protect the word of God in the block chain).

The Scriptures must be defended against arguments that the Bible is not the word of God in everything it teaches.

To abandon the example of Christ and the apostles regarding the inspired word of God is to destroy his power to rebuke, correct, redeem, heal, cast out demons and overcome all evil.

To deny that the scriptures are true in all that he teaches is to give himself into the hands of satan and that is what he wants.

But in Christ we are more than conquerors.

Do not let the enemy take advantage of our lives, be attentive, in constant prayer and in communion with God we will be firm and prepared to win and satan will flee from us.
