Hi @elisea :) Just found you from your link on minds...

Hi there! Glad you did! I was thinking the name sounded familiar, although I don't spend much time in there as it is much heavier on my browser speed than steemit :) ❤

Hi, That's interesting, because it's the opposite for me, especially since steemit crashed last several days ago for a few hours, it seems slower than ever. Whereas Minds is much faster. I don't spend as much time anymore here after my own extreme 1.4 Million Dollar Whale downvote story nuked me from nearly 47 to 4 over just a comment. I learned the hard way from a reputation of 4, after doing the math, that I had to work 5 times as hard to regain my reputation. Just today after working hard to pull it up to 9.6 discovering I only got 55% of the author rewards. With Minds on the other hand, in 10 days or so I've gotten more subscribers already. It's certainly got it's issues too. I'm just frustrated with steemit. I really love your artwork and pics though. :) ❤

Thanks! I love your positive quotes! I do hope your account recovers quickly. I understand your frustration.
I rarely get any rewards on minds despite trying to interact every day - they fixed it for me when I complained but after a few days has happened again. Tech support seems to be highly responsive though and solve things quickly... Other problem I've had is that every time I try to write a blog the banner image will disappear. I should probably contact tech support about it. I've been on minds almost since it started beta, in 2016 I think, but never did much with my account because of browser weight issue (I'm using a very old computer), but now with the tokens I suddenly started feeling a lot more motivated to endure the slow loading time, lol... can't wait for it to get out of testing.
When I joined I had quite a warm welcome there but as I never did much with my account I lost my followers.

Steemit motivates me to write and finish my short stories as I had been suffering much with procrastination... for many years. I feel the current problems prevalent here will be fixed with tougher outside competition... If the problems aren't fixed the people in here with really positive attitudes and ideas and projects will leave when a better alternative is found. Which is a pity. ❤

That's interesting to hear about Minds. I still have to try to do a full blog over there and compare the two on that level. Most everything else seems far better there than here though, after now just 12 days there. The first week my subscriber count passed 6 weeks worth of followers here and now I see my views are nearly 13,000 there. I'd guess 6 and a half weeks here have gotten me maybe 5% of that there in less than 2 weeks.

I agree it is a pity seeing things not get fixed here. I know Dan, the creator of steem and steemit is working on a second generation steemit that he said would be built on the EOS platform after it's release in June. Then mysteriously, @Ned, the CEO of steemit, downvoted Dan's article about EOS
and has completely disappeared from any activity on steemit for the last 2 months, which @eosgo posted about here.

So some sort of battle seems to be raging in the upper levels here, in addition to all the whale wars etc. To me it's worrisome when a CEO doesn't even show up anywhere on his own platform he's in charge of for 2 months. Sorry, if I digress.

Thank you for your positive input here. It really does help me to keep trying to plug along here to some degree... I really do appreciate it. ❤

I find Minds interface very, very baffling, the other day I spent 30 minutes trying to reply to a comment on a comment and couldn't figure it out - ended up replying to the main post instead. I find in all Minds has a very counter intuitive (for me at least) interface... plus the lightning fast news feed annoys me to death - sometimes I glance over an interesting post and it's gone while I'm still in mid sentence and that is why despite the warm welcome I had in there back when I joined I never interacted much with site.

On the other hand, Steemit, because of its uncluttered overall feel is much easier to navigate and as much as I hate markdown I've learned a few things about it already.

You know, sometimes I wonder if all this drama going on isn't just a circus for the self amusement of a few bored individuals.

The community would be much better served with positive projects like contests instead of people throwing mud at each other in prominent places.

That being said I think it all depends on the goals you have, I've tried things I never tried before since joining steemit (like 2 spoken songs I posted yesterday).

As much as I would like to have higher rewards and more feedback on the actual quality of my posts instead of the generic "nice", I've won a few prizes which is highly motivating.

All in all, on a personal level steem has been very positive for me.

You're welcome! ❤

Hi @elisea :) Yeah, I agree Minds is not the greatest with interface and certainly has room for improvement. It reminds me of twitter in that aspect. You must be on when a lot of people are posting.

There's no doubt the drama comes in part from boredom as well. For me it's mainly curiosity looking for more understanding as to why what happened in my experience happened. But it is a distraction at the same time...

I went to listen to your DTube videos, but Dtube doesn't play for me now... I've seen that a lot with it. I'll check back later, maybe tomorrow when the states are still asleep and hopefully the bandwidth is working better. My SP is low now and needs to recharge. So maybe that's part of it. At least I could like all your last posts on Minds... :) It's really interesting to see the contrast between our experiences with the 2 sites. It really helps me to keep balance, especially being Libra... ❤

Yes it does remind twitter! But even more annoying in that respect, lol. Perhaps it's the traffic, but since the beginning I've encountered that problem. I've trying logging in at different times and the news feed always change lightning fast.

I understand the curiosity on your part but... as I'm approaching half a century I find there are things that simply will refuse to have a rational explanation (for example my jobcenter, after completely ignoring me for 3 years and never given me any details on how to contact companies for actual jobs I've applied for suddenly summons me to apply for an accountant position to which I am in no way qualified and threatens to cancel my registration if I don't). Ruminating on nonsense is bad for one's health. I've done it before and got really sick, so nowadays I seek better ways of entertainment. Drama has lost its allure :).

Only 1 in Dtube, the other is on Dsound. :) Thanks for your votes over there, and here also.
