Everyone has something in their life to be grateful for, but all too often we get caught up and center on the things that are wrong with them
Fa la la la la, la la la la… ’Tis the season to be jolly! You know? Of peace on earth and good will toward men? But wait. It is barely working its way into May, right? Well, that is too bad. Can we be still, just for a moment? Let us stop thinking about all our grievances and let a little sun shine - straight into your heart? Just put forth a little love to one another, just for today and tomorrow – and well, the next day too. Why can’t we just have that Christmas feeling all year long? It puzzles me why people allow themselves to be so kind and thoughtful during the Christmas season, letting it all go, softly into the gentle breeze of life. Not to be a fanatic or anything —Just search for that feeling - as I stand at the piece of earth where there is goodwill towards men.

I always post this poem down at the bottom of my posts. It is one that has become so near and dear to my heart. I only post the most famous part of it, but, wanted to post it in its entirety today.
they set my aunts house on fire
i cried the way women on tv do
folding at the middle
like a five pound note.
i called the boy who use to love me
tried to ‘okay’ my voice
i said hello
he said warsan, what’s wrong, what’s happened?
i’ve been praying,
and these are what my prayers look like;
dear god
i come from two countries
one is thirsty
the other is on fire
both need water.
later that night
i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered,
"where does it hurt?"
it answered,

Christmas in Spring/Summer, well yes, please!!! I want some of that! I love how you found the perfect photos to contrast the two. The green and red tulips and the green and red ornament! Brilliant!! As for your words, they reminded me of the lyrics in this:

I try oh so very hard to keep that spirit alive all year. Usually with humor it helps. And trying to find the light side of life. There IS a lot around everywhere. But it can be hard to do sometimes. Really boggles the mind how people treat one another sometimes. As you say, it takes a huge effort and mindfulness to keep it going in the positive directon. Thanks for the reminder of such, it is so true, and NOT seasonal. Why IS Christmas so much that way? Food for weekend thought. Speaking of which, hope your weekend is a grand one. And the blossoms are booming everywhere there. An amazing place this time of year. Cheers my friend.
I have no doubt but you try really hard all year long, I have no doubt but you do it without trying. There are just some people that are automatically happy, or automatic that's the wrong word but it is in their disposition to carry a happy face. I think you're one of those people and despite your pragmatic attitude towards many things, I do believe that you carry around a happy heart in your pocket.
I adore hearing your thoughts and I love hearing about your life and what you think of life and how you're living life. Of course, many would never say it but there's just something light and cheerful about your attitude and about your words. So thank you for stopping in and making my day, once again. I'm behind as usual. Thanks so much for the very nice thoughts. I do try, though it at times takes effort, it's not usually THAT hard. You just have to look for the colorful lining in most of life's 'things'. They're everywhere, all around. (I was going through story ideas and photos all day, by GOLLY I have a lot to write. It's EVERYWHERE. ) And as for a positive attitude, I've discovered not reading a ton of the news can help too. The old ostrich head in the sandy beach sort of thing, I suppose.
I am glad I can entertain in my thoughts here. They just sort of come out when I type, and so that's what you get. Lots of Schteinnwords. No telling where they're going at times. Glad the stories I tell aren't TOO boring. I kind of drabble on now and then. But like I mentioned, there is SO much to all of this that is fun and fascinating. I always enjoy a banterous yawl* with you on here. You have a very kind spirit and are easy to talk and more importantly, laugh with on the box here. It takes two to tango, and between you and I and your and my discussions with OGP, I get a lot of guffaws myself. Tango, Babble and Chortle. A new band.
Well, I'm off to a bike ride before the folks that yell at me at night come out on the bike lane. They're few and far between, but for some reason, a few get very disdained by my bright bike light. "But I gotta see where I'm going, Dude. Otherwise, I end up pedaling off and into the drink." Don't want THAT. Talk about a damper to an evening. (or dampening). See, there I go. OK, Cheers to a nice night.

I may not be for the Christmas in Spring or summer concept, as in decorations and songs and such, but Peace and goodwill which is the Christmas Spirit i felly agree we should try and have that spirit all year round now just for a short season, we surely need moe of that spirit i the world these days

I am not trying for the Christmas either, more the point of the Christmas feeling that we all seem to have at that time of year. Wouldn't it be nice to see a little bit of that all the way through the year, peace on earth, goodwill towards men??
Oh, yes!!! I could do it all year long! But, honestly, all I am looking for is peace.

I totally agree with you and find it hypocritical that so many have it pretend to have the goodwill at Christmas but contradict it with their actions throughout the rest of the year

Well, we'll just kill them with kindness, right? I have found that people cannot continuously respond in a negative way to kindness, I have experienced that firsthand. So, I say we go for it! ;)
Indeed my logic is if we keep at it maybe one or two will change and start and they may change two more and before you know it there a thousand people with a king and positive attitude 👍😎👍

Yesterday was an amazing day. Got to enjoy this great weather we been having with some family members at a pool. It’s the little moments like that in life that make each day special.
Oh, that sounds divine! Truly! It is the little things that always make my heart sing. It has been that kind of weekend for me... during the week this week, not so much, but, it sure made me appreciate the weekend.

You are messing with our minds but I remember when I was in Kansas City, some radio station decided to do a Christmas in July session as I listened one day.
It's true! Christmas in July is a real thing and a lot of times they play Christmas music at that time.
What I was really trying to do, Ace, is to ask why people cannot be as pleasant and as giving and as loving as they are during the Christmas season? It seems to me that the world is a Commerce, gentler place at the holiday season. How hard would that be to do that throughout the entire year?
And of course, Merry Christmas! LOL

I think it's when people have more time to slow down, then they have time to think not just for themselves or their work but I'm not behavioral science specialist.
Perhaps, but, Christmas is a really busy time of the year for me!!! I slow down, somewhat, but, I am flying around trying to get everything done!

As for the beauty, yes, but my real hope is that people would be kind and sincere just as they are during the holidays.
