Avoiding the light - a steemofconsciousness
Do vampires just have really bad migraines? All the time?
Nocturnal adventures? No: avoiding the light.
Wandering night looking for pharmaceuticals and gaps in neon.
Where chemists shut their doors up tight
5 bells and they're gone
Doors down, shutters up long before the cowering wretches leave coffins built for comfort.
And the sweet cool bliss of darkness absolute.
Wishing for empty nothingness 'tween the stars
..the webs between galaxies.
And eternal thirst for blood?
Nah. Just looking for a cure
Before science and DNA
Explained keratins it - there's nothin more in a rhino horn
And there ain't no magical enchantments in the blood of innocence
'Cept the life it represents.
