in WORLD OF XPILARlast year (edited)

Hello, my Steemian friends,

I am here to take you to Jervis Bay in the NSW State of Australia to participate in this contest started by @o1eh

If you are interested to join us, please visit for details.

This was in August 2020, when we heard that our reservation for Vincentia, a town in New South Wales at the shores of Pacific Ocean about 200 km away from Canberra and almost the same from Sydney, was cancelled since the government had locked the borders.

We were in Canberra, and if you happen to be in Canberra, you never know when you're in the ACT (Australian Capital Region) and when you're in NSW because the borders cross at several places. Even I get confused within the Canberra city area itself as some of it passes through NSW State.

As planned, we started at 11 a.m. from Canberra for a trip to NSW. Our first point was Jervis Bay, where we had a beach house booked in advance. We reached Jervis Bay at around 2 PM and spent the rest of our time walking on the beach just in front of our backyard.

By the way, we were all feeling sorry for ourselves for traveling in a car, but we were supposed to travel in a caravan with my partner and another couple, as we had planned and booked in advance. But then the caravan rental service canceled the booking because of the COVID-19 advisory.

But even people walking along the beaches in the forest area is fun in itself

We started from Canberra and reached our temporary home, The Harlequin Beach House, at noon; yes, we stopped on the way for a quick lunch at a midway stopover for half an hour. My wife wanted to drive straight, but our tour mates wanted to stop.

IMG_20201204_151708.jpg

But the trip to watch the dolphins by boat started at 11 a.m. the next day, on Saturday. Jervis Bay is in fact a wonderful Marine Park, one of the most unique and visited areas in Australia, which attracts thousands of visitors every week, although COVID, the dreaded disease, has made a significant difference.

IMG_20201205_105742.jpg

The main attraction of Jervis Bay is its lovely beaches with sugar-white sand and wonderful food available at a great price. The waters of the Pacific here are crystal clear, which attracts dolphins, especially the bottlenose dolphins, which are so friendly that they love the company of humans.

IMG_20201205_072721.jpg

Jervis Bay is an experience, the natural passage in crystal clear waters, abundant sea life, and a variety of migrant birds, that leaves a lifelong experience on tourists. And yes, if you're lucky enough, the chances of watching the whales while passing the dramatic high cliffs in Jervis Peninsula is another attraction. Yes, these whales come to rest and deliver the babies in Jervis Bay.

IMG_20201205_111000.jpg

The trip to Jervis Bay is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Just cruise along the unspoiled coastline of Beecroft Peninsula and explore ancient sea caves from inside if you're lucky enough, or watch the beauty from outside. We missed the opportunity as the weather was unfavorable but too windy and raining a bit.

IMG_20201205_120330.jpg

You would be extra happy watching the kids getting excited as they saw the dolphins

But, half our disappointment at not getting entry into the caves was gone when we found dolphins racing along with our boat and even giving us their beautiful smiles. I am not a foodie, but I liked the setting of restaurants, bars, and grills, and the variety of food at a great price. One could see the beaches and the ocean from every eating place.

IMG_20201205_122128.jpg

Some of my coworkers lived in NSW, barely a distance of 8–9 km from my workplace, and had to ask for special permission for commuting to work as entry to the Australian Capital Region was closed.

Back to Vincentia This is one of my favorite towns in Australia, the City of Shoalhaven. Of course, our final destination was Jervis Bay, especially for watching dolphins and sharks. However, we heard from the owner of the house that if the government allows, we could come and stay in the place. We gladly accepted his offer and fixed our dates from Friday, December 4th, to Sunday, December 6th.

Now we were happy that our original plan to stay until Saturday noon changed so we could witness the beauty of other nearby beaches. The change of our plan to stay in town for the entire duration of our planned program Now, Sydney can wait for another weekend.

We immediately came out of our house and enjoyed a hearty walk on the beautiful walkway along the beach, just on the backside of our beach house at Orion Beach. We spent about an hour on the walkway before coming back home. That was fun, listening to the roaring water and the wind screaming through the trees.

Although we were feeling sorry for ourselves because we were traveling in a car, we were originally supposed to travel in a caravan with my partner and another couple as planned in advance. But then the caravan rental service cancelled the booking because of the COVID-19 advisory.

We were in Jervis Bay, the region known for the whitest sand in the world.

We will be here until tomorrow evening before moving to the Blue Mountains!

IMG_20201206_132055.jpg

We were lucky that the beach house we booked allowed us to reschedule the dates.

I am loving what I am doing, and I plan to travel about 1400 km until Sunday, when I shall be back in Canberra.

I wanted to give you videos, but for some unknown reason YouTube videos are not working on Steemit, so I am providing the links in case you are interested in watching dolphins, sharks, and my trip with all my activities.

Dolphins But you will have to visit this link because, as I said, YouTube links are not working on Steemit.

We're booked for a dolphin watch cruise tomorrow at 11 a.m. my time, so I will include that trip in my video as well. Please let me give you as many details as possible in my own way.

IMG_20201205_120550.jpg

We were all excited so got up from our seats to have a closer look

IMG_20201205_120540.jpg

The region is known for having the whitest sand in the world. I am looking forward to Dolphin Watch Cruises in Jervis Bay, Huskisson, NSW.

Originally, our program was to stay here until Saturday evening, then move on to Sydney for a trip in the Blue Mountains! But this COVID-19 has disrupted everything, so we shall stay here until Sunday evening before going back to Canberra. We are in Jervis Bay, the region known for the whitest sand in the world.

In the meantime, watch the beauty of my present location.

IMG_20201205_070557.jpg

WE had a walk every morning and evening along this beach.

Our program was, "We shall be here until Sunday morning and then leave for the Blue Mountains before moving back to Canberra," but not anymore; we shall be here until Sunday evening.

IMG_20201205_070438.jpg

Saturday and Sunday were big fun days that come to you all wrapped up in a video if you're interested in watching.

We were lucky that the beach house we booked allowed us to reschedule the dates and even allowed us to stay for one more day. Luckily, they did not have any bookings for the next day.

In the meantime, watch the beauty of my present location.

This is the place where we stayed on Friday night. You can see the Pacific Ocean in the picture behind the trees.

We had a booking for a dolphin-watching cruise the next day at 11 a.m., so I will try to include that entire trip in my post. Please let me give you as much detail as possible in my own way, including images and a video if possible. My problem was that the wind and its sound were both so strong here that it was hard to record a noise-free video.

IMG_20201205_132540.jpg

People here were getting ready for scuba diving

We were feeling sorry for ourselves for traveling in a car since we were supposed to travel in a caravan with my partner and another couple, as planned well in advance.

But then the caravan rental service canceled the booking because of the NSW government’s COVID-19 tour advisory.

We are lucky that the beach house we booked allowed us to reschedule the dates.

Jervis Bay is a place that will last long in my memory. The place boasts the whitest sand on the beaches of the Pacific Ocean compared to anywhere in the world. I am a witness to having seen white sand on the beaches that I visited during my stay of 48 hours.

If you want to experience a peacful walk in this area where we stayed have a go on this video link

We spent our Friday evening walking aimlessly in the town and came back after taking a hearty meal at a Thai restaurant. That was the end of Friday.

In the meantime, watch the beauty of my present location.

Thanks TEAM5 and @bambuka, your support is much appreciated.

Great tour! I am amazed that it was still possible to travel in Australia despite Covid. We had got the impression from the media that all doors and gates were immediately locked (and the key thrown away...).

Australia was last to shut and then opened in middle of December before shutting its borders on and off. The tourism industry was putting a lot of pressure on government to ease the restriction and they did. Later they paid a heavy price as more than half of the population suffered from Covid but by the time it started we were back in India. Thanks for accepting my invite.

Thanks for another incredible post. You are raising the bar higher and higher, and it will be very difficult for your competitors to compete with you :)

Your trip is something. Dolphins, beaches, the Pacific Ocean, a boat trip... There are too many to list. I have seen such beaches only in photos or videos.

Thank you for your time. You must have spent a lot of time to create this kind of post. While reading it, I forgot about everything around me for a moment :)

I especially want to thank you for your contribution to @wox-helpfund. These funds will be used to treat people.

Thanks for your kind words, I am just trying as much as I can because I don't want to leave anything to chance. Next week I will give you something entirely different and probably from my own country or any surrounding country and see how it works. Thanks again.

Telepathy, I invited you to another contest at the same time. I spent more than 3 hours to finished my fiction article. Therefore, I will read your one later.

Congratulations on the 1st prize to this post. You deserve it.
This place looks very nice to visit. I guess except for the greens all the other landscapes are somewhat similar to Oman

Wow, that's amazing. Congratulations for the good work. Yes, I will surely look at it and participate. Thank you

Wow! It's really impressive to do a huge variety of activities during a planned trip like this one, although many COVID-19 restrictions that are still legit in several spots around the world can easily disturb the natural course for an enjoyable journey, but everything went generally good despite of all. I might understand how happy were kids by seeing dolphins so close to them, this is not done regularly on a daily routine, so I could also jumped just because watching them. 🐬😃

Actually, the business in Australia were pressurising the government to open up but later the Aussies paid a heavy price.

Business making pressure to the government? Isn't that illegal? Wanna live there then. Venezuelan authority is trying to destroy the most of initiatives for great businesses and entrepreneurships. 😅
