There are already a variety of businesses competing in this industry, including well known figures like Beyond Meat, Boca Foods, Impossible Foods, and others.

You can already buy these alternative meat options at a growing number of restaurants, as this trend continues to push alternative meat into the mainstream.

Alternative meat choices like those from Beyond Meat are already available in thousands of different restaurants, hotels, and other venues.

This includes places like Del Taco, Carls Jr, and A&W. They are also offering these options at various stadiums and universities, as more people have come around to experimenting with alternative protein products.

Investments continue to flood into this industry as it's expected that it will rapidly grow over the next several years. Beyond Meat has done very well since its initial public offering and the future looks bright for them and others who are working in this space.

Whether or not these new 'fake meat' burgers might be the healthier option is still up for debate, because some of them might have questionable additives. Another issue with this industry is also the concern over whether or not plant-based meats and lab-grown meats can be able to refer to themselves and be marketed as meat altogether.
