"Checkmate" by Dirk Hooper

Model: Vanity

We got access to a great local rock venue for a full day and did a ton of shoots on that location. I really loved that checkerboard floor and wanted to feature it in a set.

Vanity was simply the best model for this set. She's got a wonderful goth/edgy look and it fit perfectly with my ideas for this shoot.

The color effect here was not done in PhotoShop, it was lit like this on the set using a colored gel.

Canon 40D | 20mm | f/14 | 1/125 | ISO 100 | Retouch in PhotoShop and Lightroom
