Sunflower에 대해 사실을 말하다
- 해바라기(Sunflower)는 국화과의 한해살이 식물이다.
- 이름은 태양을 따라 돌아가는 해바라기의 꽃모습에서 유래되었다.
- 해바라기는 높이 1~3m까지 자라며 꽃은 지름이 20~30cm 정도이다.
- 해바라기는 씨앗을 담은 거대한 꽃봉오리를 만들어내며, 이 씨앗은 기름과 단백질을 많이 함유하고 있어 식용으로도 사용된다.
- 해바라기 씨앗은 씨앗류 중에서도 대표적인 스넥으로 많이 즐겨먹는다.
- 해바라기는 태양을 좋아해 태양을 향해 꽃잎을 돌리는 특징이 있다. 이러한 특징으로 인해 해바라기는 태양의 위치를 알려주는 역할도 한다.
